So I’m looking through the member list (what’s the point of having a member list if you’re not going to look through it once in a while? Or maybe you just really are that bored.) and I started pondering where people get their user names from cause there are some very odd ones out there (Like “Alan” - what the hell does that mean? ;))

Anyway, a thread in which you have the chance to explain yourself!

Hoochalobster, in homage to dear Dr Heimlich - “Hoocha hoocha hoocha, and the lobster will come out.” (2 points to White Psycho :D)

definatly a great topic. mine’s a bit hard to explain, because i don’T know it that well anymore. when i was about 15, the letters DV used to be my sign for some (not so legal) edding-paintings in the differenet places i’ve been (like toilets, school toilets and railroadstation toilets). don’t know why, because it has nothing to do with my name. so i thought i’d keep those letters for an internet nickname, and because i looked like a fat italian mafiosi a time ago (wetlook hair, yuk!) and i’m a real wutz i thought i’d would sound crap and be written wrong, what would be just the right thing to present me on the net.
so, that’s my uninteresting story.

Well, I guess it’s my turn to explain my rather unusual name (…), right? No, I’m not obsessed with a certain bass-player (you know who), I just couldn’t come up with a better username besides my own name. I’m not planning on changing it though. I guess that’s why T?’s Michael chose Mikehell as a username, I took his name, hehe!!

Since I had a bad inspiration day that moment, I just took my name (Robby) and to make sure no other Robby would turn up here, I shortened my last name (VDH = Vanderhaegen). It sucks, but who cares: you guys know who I am now…

Neat thread!

My friend KT (Katie - see?) came up with mine. I’ve got kind of a Blade obsession, so i got my hair cut like his a while ago (with the cool patterns shaved into it and stuff), except i was bleach blonde at the time. KT wrote me this whole story about ‘The Blonde Blade’, and i thought it was so cool i adopted the name!

Oh well, at least that’s a better story than the one about my old user name, ‘Dezley’…

i got the idea quite some time ago when i was reading the lyrics of a song off Born Dead by Body Count.
if i can remeber correct it was going ‘187 nigga watch me pull this fuckin’ trigga’, and it is exactly like my surname.

Well, some of you know my real name, but I don’t use it on the net, because, I don’t know anybody with the same name. And I live in one of the smallest villages of my country, so it’s not so difficult for people who know me to recognize me on the net. I’d rather be anonymous… But I had to choose some name. ZM is dutch for ‘Zeeuws Meisje’. Haha… For all the non dutch members: it’s a brand of butter and it means ‘girl from Zeeland’(that’s a province in the south of the Netherlands). And now you people know too much…Sstt…

No, i meant you didn’t want to know because it’s boring!

On one message board years ago i was ‘Dez’, after Dez Farara from Coal Chamber, but i got banned for saying Christopher Lambert was gay, so i changed it to ‘Bradley’, which is my fav CC song, but they realised it was me and booted me off again. So I tried coming back as ‘Dezley’, but they spotted that right off! The moral of the story is never offend a Christopher Lambert fan. They have REALLY long memories.
