Eddie Izzard

Ok, this has been mentioned a bit in old threads but I felt it was about time that a whole thread was dedicated to him. I got his new DVD a few days ago, and its brilliant, complete with useless trivia about all sorts of things. Did you know the statue of Liberty’s index finger is 8ft long?

As in Circle?

I’m still cross with him over the whole Dress To Kill in disguise / Watchdog debacle but if the DVD is any cop he may be forgiven (and come to my birthday party).

Yeah, there were so many complaints about the Circle tour he was on Watchdog!

Basically, when he did Dress To Kill in London it was advertised as his “ONLY UK performance of D2K” - so many people (including myself) spent a bloody fortune going to see it.

Then he did Circle, which everyone thought was new and thus went to see but it was just Dress To Kill again, which was rather harsh of him I think.

He kinda justified it by saying that it was a progression and so it started the same as D2K at the beginning of the tour but he was writing new material and adding bits so by the end of the tour it was 90% different. Not really any good if you got to see him near the beginning then :(

I was just annoyed that I spent about £100 on seeing him in London and then saw virtually the same show in Manchester for cheap a few months later.

Anyway, I plan to forgive him in time for Xmas so I get the DVD :D

If he was that much of a genius he’d have worked out how to not be tour until he’d written enough stuff ;)

He is really funny, but I haven’t heard about him for a while, it would have been funny to see him on Celebrity Big Brother, definate winner.
I watched Jeff Green in Manchester the other Sunday, an have got tickets to watch Peter Kay in Liverpool, but that is next March.

Does anyone know if Eddie Izzard is going to play Scotland in the near future?
