Started by mfgeorge

well since i don’t believe there is anything coming out in the next few weeks that will crack my top ten, i thought why not start this thread now since i’m bored at work and have nothing better to do:

01. baxter - about this
02. archive - you all look the same to me
03. autolux - 6 song demo
04. sigur ros - ( )
05. 2 many dj’s - as heard on radio soulwax part 2
06. beck - sea change
07. lamb - what sound
08. tegan and sara - if it was you
09. idlewild - the remote part
10. coldplay - a rush of blood to the head

i realize a couple of there were released in 2001, but i didn’t pick them up until this year…

Haven’t really bought much this year but…

1. Muse - Hullabaloo
2. Jimmy Eat World - Jimmy Eat World
3. Doves - The Last Broadcast
4. Feeder - Comfort in Sound

Will have a look to see if I bought anything else over the weekend. Muse won by a clear mile though.

Hmm..me neither. Mostly average records.

1. Coldplay - A Rush Of Blood To The Head
2. Nine Inch Nails - And All That Could Have Been

Uhm. That’s it.
JJ72 - I To Sky, Aimee Mann - Lost In Space, Arid - All Is Quiet Now, Tori Amos - Scarlets Walk, Suede - New Morning
I still need to listen them fully. Can’t say more…
Muse managed to put all the best songs on the DVD instead of the CD. :D

I mostly pick up records 5 years after relaese. Can I count those? :D

It’s true about Muse, except for one song: Dark Shines! It’s on the cd, but somehow they forgot to include it on the DVD, which is a damn shame!

I think they did that so you must buy them both. :D
They’re clever these days…record companies.
I like the DVD a lot more…but editing is very rough for the eyes sometimes.
Really hope a new albums comes out soon. I played Origin Of Symetry to death. I hope they go even further than that.

I’m not even gonna try and make a top ten list, i think this year was one of the worst in the history of music. The only album i really liked was bunkka by oakenfold.

Gorki - het voorspel was moordend
Queens of the stone age - no one knows

Damn, I can’t think of more at the moment, 2002 was not such a good year for new releases I guess… or maybe I just didn’t discover them yet.

Here are the best records for 2002

the spirit that guides us - the sand, the barrier
bad religion - process of belief
nofx/rancid - split
gorki - vooruitgang
queens of the stone age - songs for the deaf
nofx - 45 or 46 songs that weren’t good enough to go on our other records
