Now that we’re talking about movies anyway nowadays, what are your favorite all-time movies ? Mine are:

- Pulp Fiction
- Reservoir dogs (Yes I am a Tarantino Fan :))
- Braindead (the best horror picture ever !!)
- The Boondock Saints
- Trainspotting
- American History X
- …

Any recommendations?

Hmm. we’ve had a similar topic before, but I’ve seen some more movies since then, so here’s my list:

- The Godfather trilogy: I recently bought the DVD Boxset, and I love all three of them. Coppola’s daughter is a really bad actress in part III, but Pacino’s and Garcia’s performace compensate this. It’s without a single doubt the best movie trilogy ever, imho of course.

- Rocky I & II: Two other classics. The successors weren’t nearly as good as the first two Rocky movies, although IV is entertaining due to it’s stupidity and shameless propagandic purpose.

- The Exorcist: The only horror movie that ever scared me. By far the best and most scary horror movie ever made.

- The Die Hard trilogy: Another good trilogy. Bruce Willis as the anti-hero works perfectly. I guess Die Hard With A Vengeance is the best one, mainly due to the great performance of Samuel L. Jackson and Bruce Willis as a duo, and Jeremy Irons as the bad guy.

- The Matrix: Probably my fav movie. Good story, good actors, good special effects, it has it all!

For a good laugh, I like Austin Powers, Ace Ventura, Wayne’s World, stuff like that.

Firstly, a word for Die Hard Trilogy and all it’s glory. Classics indeed.

Other than that; Bill and Ted (either), Stand By Me, The Wedding Singer, Breakfast Club, The Lost Boys, Deuce Bigalow, The Goonies, Man on the Moon, Rat Race, Shawshank Redemption, Grease, Grease 2(!)

Also anything involving Keifer Sutherland, even that shit Reece Witherspoon film that was on the other night, heh heh.

If anyone wants to check out the original favourite film thread, it’s here.

any film starring Robin Williams? He’s been in some great films but he’s also been in some terrible ones, Bicentennial Man springs to mind. But I definitely agree about Edward Norton, he’s brilliant!

Well, I meant Robin Williams is one of my favourite actors ever. Not that I actually loved every movie he’s done. It’s strange how he can still look very sad even when he’s playing a comic role. I guess that’s why I’ve always found him so interesting.
