Pre-order the new album (released on April 21st!)

#

Started by Teethgrinder (René Fennema) Administrator

I was taking a look on the Amazon.co.uk site to see which Therapy? stuff they have available, and I noticed an item listed as T.B.A. (to be announced).

It turns out it’s the new album released on the Spitfire label on April 21st, 2003!

I have not yet asked Therapy? if it’s correct, and I’d like to suggest that we all wait until we hear from them instead of e-mailing them about it, since they’re very busy in the studio at this time.

Check it out here:

I’ll have been jobless for about 3 weeks by then, so that’ll be fantastic. It will get my off my bottom which I will doubtless spend lots of time on.

That’s really good news if that is the actual date - hopefully there won’t be too much of a wait after that for a tour.

April 21st is a Bank Holiday though so mabye it’ll be released the Friday before. I went to my local Virgin and HMV before Shameless and SOAD’s Steal this Album were officially out and they were sitting on the shelf staring at me in a wierd kinda sexual way…

Well this guy is in New York, so I would expect so. Pretty sure I read somewhere in one of the band’s own posts that it was a worldwide deal they signed.

The title of the new album will be ‘High Anxiety’, as Alex from suicidepact.com already suggested a few days ago (well done, Alex ;-)). The official (though tentative) release date is now May 5th, 2003.

must say, compared to other t? titles, the new one seems kinda unoriginal…
hopefully the same won’t be said about the music…

Hee hee… that’s cos it’s not original!

Therapy? have taken it from Pet Lamb (who are good friends with Andy), it’s an album they recorded in 1995 that never got released.

And they took it from a Mel Brookes film!

Hmm, what release schedule would that be..? I’m not saying that you’re wrong, but I heard it from Michael himself, and May 5th is on a Monday, which makes it both kinda likely it is correct.

Of course, I’m not 100% sure, and Michael said it was tentative. What release date was on the schedule you’ve seen? May 6th, like you mentioned earlier?

May 5th is a Bank Holiday here in the UK.
I suppose that means the 6th here and the 5th in the civilised world.

Maybe?

Since never.
I just thought it might have a bearing on the matter because there was a date issue, and I thought, “Well, it might be a factor in it not being released even though the store is open.”

Hence the “Maybe?” bit really.
