I don’t think I have a fear of growing old purely because I’m in denial and still think of myself as about 16, lol. One day it’ll hit me…probably when I’m 26 cause that is a scary age ;)

Woah, bloody hell! I’m being reminded of a certain REEF song at the moment :-)

Sorry, that was cheeky :-)

one feels he’s getting old as soon as he starts worrying about his age. that’s what they say, at least. me, the older i get the more childish i am, this is probably due to the fact that these days one is forced to grow up faster and while childhood should be the longer part in a man’s life, today it is merely considered a waste of time. not to mention me eternal 15 years old look, willing or not, i’ll never be able to get rid of. i have yet to work out whether it is a good thing or a bad thing! :s

They had a song out called “Yer Old” a couple of years ago.

Sorry… I’m bold.

Thank you choi!

I haven´t been doing much lately. Just working. Work, work… ;o) How are you? I see that you moved to Hellsinki, weren´t you from Joensuu originally or am I mixing you to someone other..?

I´m an old fart now. 33. But I do agree with Kyra that it´s all about the mind, not the looks… I have a mind of 16 year-old but body of 60 year-old… ;o)

What’s the worst age to be? 16, 18 and 21 are all quite cool and things you looked forward too before them, but the rapidly approaching 30yo is filling me with dread - haven’t yet had a mortgage, one-night stand, rea;;y serious pregnancy scare, engagement, car that I paid for myself or anything much that I thought I’d do in my twenties.

16 rocks, but 18 and 21 somehow suck. you allways want to be that age, and when it happens you’re just like “o.k., now what’s the diffrence.” also looking older than you are is nice when you’re 15 and want to buy alcohol, but it ain’t funny if you’re older. now if anyone again dares to ask me if i’m 30…

A lot of my mates have just turned 18 and they’re pissed off that they don’t get IDed at all, they just want to feel smug but the people behind the counter are too trusting.

Heh heh, I had the opposite going out with my sister’s mates a few weeks ago. All of them were underage except her boyfriend and he was the only one who got IDd (and was very smug as he had his passport with him) :)

Title: oh dear

hey markojii-
good to hear from you! yes, i’ve lived in helsinki for little over two years now- much better for my mental health than joensuu (i guess closing the only rock bar over there didn’t help much either).
as for the age issue —-the thing is that i keep getting asked for an id whenever i buy cigarettes or alcohol. which can only mean that i look like a 17-year-old. i don’t think i look that young, though.
it doesn’t bother me that much, and the older i get, the more it feels like a compliment. i’m 25 now, so it’s not so bad ;)
