You probably had a job when you were 30 - i havent had a full time job since forever. I worry constantly, which is why ive decided to apply to collefge and study drums for 3 years - and try and get a job at the same time. I have to do SOMETHING… :(

when that song came out as a single before the “Load”-album, I thought: “Wow, they’ve done it again. They reinvented themselves and managed to sound rocking, fresh and interesting all at the same time.”
Then the album came out and, well, it sucked.
Anyway, let’s see if we can compile one decent album out of the two “Load” CDs.
Fuel
The Memory Remains
Until It Sleeps
The Unforgiven II
Hero Of The Day
Bleeding Me
Ronnie
Mama Said
Low Man’s Lyrics
Nope, that’s still not a half decent album. And more than half of the songs are ballads. Dammit.

The weird thing about Load and Reload is that everyone agrees that they would have made ONE decent album between them…yet whenever people offer lists of what should/ should not be on it, the results vary wildly.

Ronnie, Unforgiven II, Better Than You, Slither, Low Mans Lyric, Cure, Poor Twisted Me… range from awful to utter shit!

most bands write about 25 songs for an album, and choose 12 best tracks, what metallica did they chose all of them, some of them are filler,

nah blame U2, with Zooropa. Lars said that was his inspiration for releasing a second album recorded at the same time.

Between the black album and load - Metallica wrote 30 songs. The problem is - they released every one of them.
They didnt want to waste a riff - so any riff they wrote they kept.

And then for St Anger they went the other way and didn’t want to use any of the riffs they came up with!

Well, St Anger was basically - lets record while we jam. The idea was to write an album and record it at the same time.
Dream theater work this way too - and they came up with ” Train of Thought “.
Unfortunately, Metallica are not even in the same league and they came up with St Anger.
Its a bit worrying when you jam every night on tour for 3 years or so, compile over 50 cd’s full of riffs and jams
Go to a studio and write for a further year, wittle it all down…
And still only come up with ” Unforgiven 3 ”
:p

Im sick of people overeacting on a bloody message board

The sad truth is that Dave Mustaine actually is the better vocalist out of the two now (I would have never disputed this before James shot his voice).
Was always the better guitar player.
Good to see what a big man James is.
Can’t wait for the new Megadeth - will show these douchebags how it is really done.

Maybe something to do with the fact that Mustaine is ALWAYS slagging Metallica and they have never retaliated. Which is because they don’t have to really. They write better songs and JH is a great presence and frontman whereas DM is a pathetic whiny old woman who STILL, STILL complains about Metallica and blames them for his life’s problems - even though he is a millionaire rock star himself. Which I would say makes him an ungrateful, hate-filled tosspot!
Over the years he has complained about Metallica no end every chance he can…and then whinges that all interviewers ask him about is Metallica. What a fuckhole!
Oh well, Metallica are riding high and ginger is selling 100 copies of his 80’s sounding crap (and moaning for extra publicity), so the best man/band won!
BTW I’m a fan of both i think DM is a better guitairst and has more poetic lyrics… i just can’t stand his hypocritical complaining!
