I have usually got UK releases from http://www.action-records.co.uk, and probably will get these also.
But I’ve got a question - is there a list of shops which are counted when chart sales are being calculated - and is Action records on that list? It certainly wouldn’t hurt me if I helped to increase their “official” sales counted in chart numbers - even though I think there is little chance that this single hits the charts.

If they just take your money and give you your cd, then this will not register for the charts.
Actually, I buy all my stuff from Action Records too, they always send the credit card receipt so I would think that they scan their items, therefore registering them for UK chart sales.
But could be wrong, of course.

I think I was talking about it in another thread. In the shop I used to work in you had to scan the barcode once for the till and with a seperate scanner to register it for the charts. I think major stores do it automatically though.
