Download Limit thing

OK I can understand the reasons for having the limit and everything but when its been reached at 11:45 in the morning I think its a bit small, is there going to be any changes with this?

Well, I think you’ve already answered the question :-)

I am aware of the fact that it is being reached quite quickly, but it’s hard to keep up with the growing amount of visitors and subsequent downloads.

However, the limit is a bit lower now that it normally is, because of a few very busy days during this month which is putting a strain on the last few days of the month (as the bandwidth usage is calculated by month by the hosting company). This means that it will go up again on June 1st.

Also, I’m currently contemplating to split the daily download limit in several periods of a few (4-6) hours, so the opportunities to download are spread more evenly over the day.

Finally, I’ve permanently removed the high quality videos as these were putting a relatively large strain on the available bandwidth. The normal quality videos are still quite good, and I made the decision that having the high quality videos up didn’t weigh up against the downside of having less download opportunities for the audio files (which are more popular, anyway). The effect of this measure won’t be very noticable until the 1st of June though.
