Souvenirs

Just been reading another thread and thought I’d start another, as the previous one was kind of getting side tracked. What things have you managed to get a concerts, mine are just plectrums, never caught a drum stick, guess I should have just asked Graham on the last tour when I met him, but hey where do you keep a drumstick.

Micheal’s plectrum
Dave Ellefson’s (Megadeth) plectrum
Marty Friedman’s (Megadeth) plectrum
Johnny Rod’s (WASP)plectrum

I’m sure there will be plenty of other people with far better collections, but let me know it will be interesting to see what you have.

I didn’t catch it, but was given a ‘wet michael towel’ by my friends who caught it…didn’t really quite know what to make of that present!

My brother is a tall bastard and always seems to catch stuff he has an Andy plectrum, and one of Graham’s drumsticks. He also has one of James Hetfeild’s plectrums, which I think is a pretty cool thing to say you have!

At one of the small fanclub only gigs in about ‘96 Michael gave me his setlist. Then when the band were leaving a microphone got dropped into the audience and they said whoever found it could have one of Fyfe’s drumsticks - I found it but as I stood back up a bloke snatched it off me and tried to claim the drumstick, luckily Michael saw the whole thing and gave it to me anyway :D

I also still have the butt of a roll-up I shared with Fyfe after a gig in ‘95. And some photos of their laundry. Please dear God is there anyone sadder than me here?

I’ve got a drum stick off the Ten Years After drummer. Don’t know his name.
What a scramble for the stick though!
That was in about 1979 or 1980 ish.

I’ve got one of Fyfe’s semi destroyed drumsticks from the Manchester Academy gig back in 94, when we saw ‘em in Whitehaven one of my mates was complaining of something that was hurting his back, when he took his t-shirt off there was a mobile phone there! We never did find out who it belonged to..

I got the very wet T-shirt from Keith after the Leffingeleuren festival last year…

When I came home, I immediately smashed it against my wall and it’s still hanging there… although I don’t find it really attractive that little insects are coming out 6 months later :D

I was at a fan club gig in ‘96 and asked Andy to sign my Teethgrinder shirt, which was fine.

But then I then asked him to sign my fan club member laminate “to Alan”…

He asked my how to spell “Alan”…

Of course, my name was already printed on the laminate! :D

D’oh! I think Andy felt a bit stupid after that!

I also got a drumstick from Graham signed at that gig. So that was a good night for memerobilia. :)
