how does it make you feel?

#

Started by slush puppy

today is a good day. i bought the new Therapy? album ‘high anxiety’ and the sun is shining.

i have loved Therapy? ever since the Short Sharp Shock EP was released. i can still vividly remember them playing Screamager on Top Of The Pops.

i really want to love this new album. it is not often that new music makes feel as good as the music made me feel back in the early 90’s. i have listened to ‘high anxiety’ a couple of times now. it reminds me of troublegum, but i don’t feel anything yet.

how does ‘high anxiety’ make you feel?

When I first heard High Anxiety I’d say my first feeling was very, very proud. The band have had such a hard time over the past couple of years and to hear them making music (real, quality, Therapy? rock) again was fantastic. :D

Well T? aren´t as angst-ridden as they were in the Troublegum or Nurse-era. At that time, it was dark music that touched my teenage-depressed “soul”.
Perhaps “HA” isn´t that depressed, but hey I ain´t too…

I like High Anxiety for NOT caring for current trends, for being straight, tight und full of energy! It just kicks my butt!

HA doesn’t really remind me of Troublegum, it reminds me of Semi-Detached (my favourite T? album).

It think it is very diverse and it makes me nod my head and smile all the time.

Can’t stop listening to it!

Went to a lake this afternoon starting the beach season and had my stereo plus HA with me. Perfect soundtrack for a perfect day, I’d say!

Like I said in a previous thread, initially I was a bit “hmn” about HA, but after the second listen it started sinking in..it’s been on constant play the past couple of days and I even took a copy into work tonight ( we took a stereo out of it’s box and plugged it in whilst the manager was doing his paperwork ) and everybody at work liked it..this is one of those albums that gets better the more you listen!

But it’s worth the wait. And not being on a train to another dull interview means I get to play it this morning, so that’s also cool.
