In that case, you were probably standing right next to me! I noticed a person to my right grab the plecs from the stand.

That roadie might have been a moody git, and it may have been completely mental down the front, but it’s been ages since I’ve been to a gig with such a friendly, happy atmosphere. The band were great, the crowd was great - perfect combination. :)

Title: Ahgh, i’m paralysed…

I can’t move this morning…the 48 ache has kicked in (that is most muscles only start complaining 48 hours after they are strained..)It’s my neck mostly, since i stayed on the fringes of the pit, too much shaking of it and now my spine is heavily objecting! Oh well, am dosed on a morphine based painkiller today so should make for a euphoric day at work!

How cool is the new album eh? Had a decent listen last night, now that I have all the songs in my head from the concert, and they sound even better! Nobody here but us, and Standing in Line are fast becoming my faves.

StetheDude - I too was stood at the left of the stage in line with michael, and there was a rather tall guy to my left dressed completely in black - he was the one who’ll probably have whiplash today!. Yes the annoying muppet was short, older and drunk with a jacket and some sort of football top stood to my right. “Where have you been all my life?” and ” do you want to dance?” were the best he could come up with…PLeeeeeasssse. I was wearing the old grey t-shirt with the Gemil on the front and Therapy? on the back. I’m rather tall with long brown hair and *ahem* well built shall we say! What did you look like then?

Hoochalobster - yes! i think I saw you all get off the train! I think i was behind you all the way up over the footbridge at Leeds, thro the concourse and out to the taxirank - in fact i think i got into the taxi behind you! Did one of you have a strange furry coat on, one had plaits in your hair, and someone else was wearing a hoodie?
I was half asleep i’m afraid, having been sound asleep on t’train i woke up with a start at Leeds. I din’t look very T? like since i had a rather sensible black anorak type thing on convering my t-shirt…you can’tbe too prepared in Manchester - it always bloody rains! Do you all live in Leeds then?

Heya Monkfish

That could well have been us - my friend was wearing a faux fur coat, her chap was in a hoodie and I wasn’t platted - hair just looked that way due to way too much moshing!

It’s a real shame we didn’t realise cause it would’ve been cool to have a post-gig beer on the train with you.

My two buddies both live in Leeds, Hyde Park area. I’m from Leeds but moved away a few years ago. Still try to get home often though :D Are you from there or just stoodenting? Heh heh

I was the tall guy in a black shirt with blonde hair down to about my chin…

There was a really funny tall blond haired lad at the end of the gig who leaned over and got one of Andy’s stubbs and just relit and finsihed it off.

This must of been the strange lad who keep turning round to me and apologising (for nothing) then grabing my hand while shouting “Fucking Top One!!!” in my face all night!!

Phew! I had a horrible feeling you were describing me earlier!

Title: I think we all know each other now!

could someone tell me how to put the cool yellow smilies in my messages please? I don’t know how to get them at the end of sentences etc. i.e here! When you click on them can you position them anywhere in a message? How??

Dano - the guy trying to bag onto me was about 50 and was a mental so don’t think he’d be on these boards…i think you’re safe!

StetheDude - aha! i remember you - stood to my left behind me - i remember looking round and registering ‘hmm blonde hair’ (seeing as i don’t seem to see that many guys with blonde hair in Leeds - or outside of Cornwall surfing territory really)i remember mentally registering this fact. You were indeed shielding your lass (she quite shorter than U?) i was probably the most dangerous thing nearby that you needed to protect her from since although i was keeping out the way of the pit, I kept standing on the toes of the guys behind me and losing my balance a lot. My neck has finally returned to normal now. That is until i go out to the weekly rock night at the Cockpit in Leeds tomorrow (you see..now here i’d insert one of those smiley things but i don’t know how to). Yeah the guy next to me was a man mountain of a matrix-coated dude. I remember thinking that he really needs more hair than that to obtain the full effect of the amount of moshing he was doing (need one of those smileys again!)

Hoochalobster (cool name!!). It was indeed in that case you lot. I didn’t see you get on train (i got on at Oxford Road), but when i got off i shuffled along behind you all over the walkway and then down the stairs and through the concourse. At one point i think i overtook you through the ticket barriers, but then ended up behind you in the taxi queue as i had to use the ATM in the station.
I’m not from Leeds (Sheffield originally but have moved around a lot), but live (garforth) and work here. Am only 4 years out of Uni and already work is depressing me. Another 33 years of this? I think i shall go off and form my own rock band so i don’t have to do a real job any more! Going to see bands etc. are my escapism from the drudgery of the 9-5 rat race. Stay at Uni as long as you can - i stretched it over 5 years…couldn’t afford any more!!
We will maybe have to meet up if there are any decent gigs in Leeds in the near future?

Easiest (only?) way to use smilies is just type them out, eg colon bracket :)

Hey Monkfish

Very annoyed that you got on at Oxford Road, we caught a bus to God knows where and then ran to Piccadilly - d’oh!

I’m not a stoodent myself, just gone all rural and moved to North Yorkshire. I’ll let you know when I’m next in Leeds though. Also check out my sister’s band Limited Addiction (there’s a link in my signature), they play at Joseph’s Well and the like quite often :D

Regarding smilies, when you post a reply you should get a column on the left showing you how to do them all - is that there?

Well, how about for the people who won’t get to see Therapy? this year?

My exams are clashing with both Irish gigs :( , plus Dr_bigjoint lives in Russia, so he’s not gonna get a lot of T? live exposure either!

People who don’t wanna know the set-list don’t have to read it…

;)

I would start a new thread for it - if i knew how - i was at the front (right in front of Micheal) and got his set list after the gig!!! (it looks great stuck on my kitchen cupboards - footprints an all..)

Great gig, I have to say I really enjoyed it. Made my friend Kate from Kentucky come along (a trade off for seing Stephen Malkmus with her earlier…) and she really enjoyed it as well. I even got her to wear my therapy? t-shirt, and mosh for a bit :)

Nice to meet you Karl and all other friendly people. But one thing; whatever happened to the old tunes (okay we got potato junkie, but that’s it)? Well, it doesn’t really matter, i’m a happy boy now!

Hey man, you were talking to me and my girlfriend at the bar downstairs (you recognised her tat from the site and that..)

Er, sorry I wasn’t more talkative, I think I was just confused or something :)

If anyone who spoke to me in rockworld uses these forums, then hello to you all!

I also remember you meatabstract, well not you, but I remember seeing your girlfriends tattoo, it was the largest question mark on her back wasn’t it? could only have been that one, I don’t think there are or where any better

Yeah, that would have been me. I do have a tendency to get quite chatty after a few drinks and sometimes it “confuses” people :) Well, nice to meet you anyway.

Haha, you didn’t confuse me, I guess I just wasn’t prepared for someone to just come and speak to me without warning ;-)
