If I’m not mistaken, I think the boys use BOSS overdrive pedals. I’ll have to check on this to be sure though.

You cant go wrong with a BOSS pedal, the old analogue pedal sound great and last a life time. However, watch out for cheaper versions of these pedals, I’ve got one that sound more like a fart rather than Andy’s guitar tone.
One draw back with BOSS pedals if for one effect they are expensive.
Perhaps you should check out a multi-effects unit. I picked up a ZOOM player 3000 for a £100. it has loads of preset effects, and you can create you’re own. It also came with a pedal which you can use as a wah-wah, volume pedal and use it to control effects.
Shop around the net and see what bargains there are.

Speaking of distortion, I have had a zoom 505 for over a year now and have never buggered my arse to program it. Does anyone have any T? related patches or know of any cool zoom sites?

Those Danelectro pedals are nice too, and a little bit cheaper than the BOSS ones. I fooled around a bit with a Zoom multi-effect pedal, and I wasn’t too impressed, because it was too cumbersome to program and cycle through the effects. Right now I’m looking at a DigiTech multi, but I haven’t gotten a chance to rip into it yet.
