hi hat on “rust”

#

Started by tatty seaside town

did they forget to turn the hi hat down at the end of rust?
you hear the click from the two cymbals “really loud”

same in “satan” in the refrain

if they wanted it that way, than why?

Yeah, noticed that too!

I’ve never heard hi-hits that loud in the mix before.

I wonder too if it was intentional or not…

Listen to “Rust” at around 5:00, and you’ll see what we mean.

Er, yeah, we know he’s playing open/close. We were just wondering if it was intentional or not for it to be so loud in the final mix. :)

There are a few drummers here, myself included.

To me also , it’s a shaker…
you can hear it also during “Hey satan, you rock” and at about 2:56 you’ve the confirmation of the “shaker” hypothesis.

I notice a clipping or slight cracking soung through a good portion of the cd. I thought it was some sort of a manufacturing problem. It’s really noticable on If It Kills Me. :(
