Yeah, I heard about this too. Michael said that the only reason they ‘let’ Sean go on the road with another band is because it’s Maiden :-)

All of the “Virtual XI” album. And nothing else.

ah yes, the album which along with “the X factor” no fan of maiden can admit to liking, on pain of having his offical spandau trousers confiscated.

well i stumbled across this setlist on another message board:

01. The Number Of The Beast
02. The Trooper
03. Die With Your Boots On
04. The World’s Wildest Dream (new)
05. The Wickerman
06. Brave New World
07. Revelations
08. The Clansman
09. 22 Acacia Avenue
10. Hallowed Be Thy Name
11. Fear Of The Dark
12. The Clairvoyant
13. Heaven Can Wait
14. Iron Maiden
15. Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter
16. 2 Minutes To Midnight
17. Run To The Hills

my favourite maiden song is there - die with your boots on -which i thought had been long forgotten. some classic stuff missing but fair play to maiden for having the balls to beef up the setlist like that. now if only they’d play ireland…

yep, am damn proud of it too. i realise how very uncool it is to admitting to be a maiden fan in this day and age, about as cool as admitting to being a therapy? fan in fact… :D

Still, they are playing “22 Acacia Avenue” & “Revelations”, so everything is okay again in the world :)

But I’ve never liked “Die With Your Boots On” - stupid title

well the last 3 songs you mentioned have been ALOW for many years.

stupider than “public enema number one”?????

if its hard to please t? fans with a setlist then its nigh on impossible to satisfy maiden fans, but what i like about the setlist is that its obviously catering for real fans who have the albums rather than mallrats who happen to have the greatest hits.

I wish Therapy? agreed with you!

“Public Enema” is a shocking title, granted! :D

By the way, 2FM played “Phantom of the Opera” at 4.30 pm yesterday! They’re playing a rock/metal track at that time everyday from now on… very interesting during the drive home from work :)

i live in ireland, i may be wrong on this but i don’t think maiden have EVER played here, which is unforgivable really. i just have too much work and not enough holidays to head off to europe to see them.

From Maidenfans.com: only 6 times in over 20 years. A bit strange knowing 2 of the members have irish ancestors…
Can’t you go see them somewhere close in the UK?

BTW: That signature about the Nation of Shopkeepers, is that a reference to Bottom? Just curious…

What’s so great about being a nation of shopkeepers?

Well it makes us superior to everyone else. Because we know how to run a corner shop.

I noticed that too :D

we are quite the clever people aren’t we!!?? yes it is a quote from bottom, i remember reading on the web that Maragaret Thatcher actually said it originally, intending it to be a sort of an insult to the UKs shitty economy. of course Ritchie took it as a compliment!!!

British thugs Ritchie, best in the world…

I’m certainly hoping it will be a return to form. I went to see B4 (An Arse Oddity) in Leeds and have to say it was nowhere near as good as the previous shows. Still worth the trek I think though!
