I don’t think he’s taking the piss, I just think he came across as being slightly bemused by the differences in audiences, I also know that Neil loves being in Therapy? and appreciates the fans via Pete Darrington.

I was there, I asked u if u could be so kind to take a pic with us and told you how I liked the show…So Neil, if u didn’t like it, why didn’t u just go away or say something like “fuck u , let me alone”…?!?

But I always misunderstand everyting, always, I’m really too easyly irritable!
I think I’d better overcome this and find something more useful to do…let me think…maybe I could study…naaaaaaa…getting angry with an innocent is funnier! :D

Yeah, I felt the same when I read it. But like you, I’m very easily antagonized :)

I also think a lot of it has to do with how stuff translates from verbal to written word, I can see how people could see his words as being a bit offensive, but the way I read it it just came across as friendly banter to me.

I agree.
Neil was just saying he realised how different fans be in different countries. In France, they were stand-offish, in Italy, they were all over the band.
He wasn’t dissing anybody.

Because I had nothing better to do…and because I always behave like a baby…and because misunderstanding other’s words is one of my passions…and because I can never relax…and beacause I’m a damned pain in the neck (…maybe you’ve already noticed it…)…and, finally, because I’m nice like slaps in the dark! :D

sorry for my question now: do you always suck up that big time?
if i say s.th wrong or make a joke which other people doesn’t like i also have to hear what they don’t like about it…and?…well, then they do it
does everybody have to say yes and amen about what t? say?
i hope not!

Hahaha. There’s a bit of a difference in
agreeing constantly, and bitching and
moaning over every little thing.
And since you decided to take it in that
direction, no, I don’t suck up. Ever.
People who know me would confirm this. It’s
a habit that causes me problems in life
(not kissing up), but that’s okay. I
get everything in life on my own, and
I’m very honest.. which means I don’t
need to kiss anyones ass.
My message was an attempt to lighten
the mood and bring back a “we’re all in
this together” vibe, instead of telling
people they were being whiney little
bastards just looking to pick a fight
about something as bloody STUPID as
the drummer commenting on some odd fan
encounters.
Agreeing with everything someone says
is one thing, but bitching and moaning
over stupid garbage or wordings in
band releases.. ??? That’s just that,
stupid.
So there you go. If you’re feeling punchy,
we can continue this in PM, but I don’t
like talking like this in public. It
makes no sense, and has no point.

To me they are certainly no rock gods… they are just a bunch of cool guys who happen to make great music…
But gods?? No way… let’s face it: they have to wipe off their ass just as well as everybody else on the board after they went to the toilet :D

was gonna say. i’m a painfully solitary
soul who mostly prefers to be alone, especially
while traveling. i couldn’t imagine dealing
with people coming up wanting to talk to
me constantly like that. i like to find
a hole in the airport bar to hide in until
i’m on the plane, then find a row with
an empty seat on the plane so i’m alone,
get the rental and check into the hotel,
find a dark cornor of the restaurant for
a bite.. then back to hotel to sleep..
(sadly i travel too much at times for owrk)
wanting to be alone doesn’t mean they
think they’re rock gods. i’m a drunken
slob, not a rock god, and i’d prefer
to be left alone usually.

I wasn’t trying to pick a fight, I was just giving my interpretation of what had been written.
So don’t call me a whiney little bastard again.
