hello,
well, currently our adsl isps here in greece only offer 128kbps for upload (~18kb/s), unless i sign up for sdsl which is quite more expensive (around 130euros), but i don’t think it’s nice for you to pay for your downloads…
but i guess everybody’s happy so far with these speeds, if you are on a fast connection, you can leave it downloading all night…
as for the schedule you mentioned, there can’t be one, because the server is on my home pc, which is 24/7 on, but when i download other stuff speeds will lower, and ofcourse when i install software i have to restart and then the server will be off, but there’s no need to worry because my server supports resuming ;)

NP! 130 Euro a month? ADSL is pretty expensive in greece! Anyway it was just a suggestion because I think that with time the FTP is gonna get bigger and bigger (or so I hope…). :)

It came to me Neat, that an option would also appear, to create a DC++ private hub. That way the files would be more available (as more of the hub users would have them). Also the speeds would be better (with hopefully some T1 users. Would that be possible for you?

well i already thought of that, d4amick, but, as i see it, most people connecting to the server usually have dial up connections, which means that they can’t work on dc++ cause a) their speeds will be really slow, and b) they won’t be able to be connected 24/7 for the hub…

Hm, true. However I used Kazaa when I had 56 dialup and it worked even faster than normal. Still - I think it would be worth a try (there are hubs with dial-up users (unless I am mistaken, which might happen :-)) BTW: Just call me Mick (the d4A is there because usually there allready is some Mick around. And well, speaking about T? there is always at least four of ´em bastards ;))

so far, I encountered no problems using SmartFTP.
But since yesterday I can’t connect to the server regardless which ftp client software I use.
And this just as I wanted to upload the MVD single to make the songs available to those who couldn’t get it on tour.
