why should the author be ashamed? everything he said was true, therapy? are certainly not trendy enough anymore to kick teenymosher ass. how many kids are into t? these days? not many.

Er… not that I know German, but my understanding was:

Ich bein Berliner

would have meant “I am a Berliner”…

(in the same way you might say “I live in Hampstead”… Oo—ee! :)

But Mr JFK said Ich Bein EIN Berliner which means that he was some sort of processed meat sausage.

I have never learnt German so I apologise if I am completely wrong — but on this situation this is what I was led to believe… and quite happy to listen to corrections…

I have to say, as much as I listen to Mr Izzard, I knew that whole Berlin/German episode when I was a young, young, YOUNG, impressional boy, and I didn’t need him to bring it to my attention. But what’s that mean, hey?! :)

And those with the holy Biblee will know to keep their ears to the sides of the car, so that they can flap back in the wind.

AND — I may as well tell _SOMEONE_!!!! I was driving along the A14 (A1 -> Cambridge kinda way) oh yes, I was. And I passed a convertible TT with its hood down. It probably wasn’t, and it’s hard to know when you are driving like that (but think of all the times you have seen someone famous and wondered if they really were six foot tall rather than the 5 inches on the TV!) but I thought I was him. It may not have been. And no one cares.

But that’s my story.
