Hooch, fair point on FLC. I really like the albums, but their set is a mess, constantly. I feel they either need to do a schmooze set, and play somewhere like Ronnie Scott’s where everyone can sit down, eat, and listen to the real cool tunes, or JUST play the more rocking numbers. At the moment, the set is about 65% slow 35% fast and it just doesn’t work.

So, that said:

Therapy? (of course, always a great performance)
Megadeth (but not on their last tour, they were blooming awful live that time round… Maybe 1998 kinda time)
Pearl Jam
Pantera
Sona Fariq
ADF
Public Enemy
Poison
Foo Fighters
Love/Hate
Little Angels
Thunder
Underworld
Orbital
Less Than Jake
The Yo-Yos
Green Day
Anthrax
[spunge]
Mad Caddies
and, with any luck, come September, Rancid.

… and Rage.

I’ve seen FLC live in Hull on the 100% Columbian and they were great..the audience was a bit weird though, it was as it they only be arsed jumping to a couple of songs..very bizarre!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the ultimate live band are GWAR!

I must have seen FLC twice on a good day then, because they sounded excellent and put on a great show with a balanced set, both times I’ve seen them. They seem to enjoy themselves so much on stage, they’re one of those bands that always give me a smile on my face.

Going by the fact that the last two FLC releases have been “best ofs”, you have to wonder if they’re close to splitting up? The last “best of” had a faint whiff of “banged together to fulfill our contractual obligations”.

I bloody hope not. Well, I don’t mind as long as Huey goes solo, he’s on the list. I guess I should get back to the sexy people thread… :D

Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band (1999 & 2 weeks ago -he’s the BOSS!)

Therapy? (seen them 4 times, liked them best in 1998)

Faith No More (thank God I had the opportunity to see them before they split up)

Queens Of The Stone Age (reeaaaally good, although I’m not their biggest fan)

Pearl Jam (one of my favourite band, a little tired at the two gigs I saw, though)

At The Drive-In (extremely powerful)

Red Hot Chili Peppers (great live band)

Alkbottle, Rammstein & Travis (three bands I wouldn’t enjoy today. Back then I did however and I enjoyed these concerts very much, especially Alkbottle, which was my first concert ever)

I’d just like to stoke up the embers a bit more by highlighting that Big nights out’s chorus is a dead ringer for Will Smith’s “Gettin’ Jiggy wit’ it”.
