DJ set in Sheff’s

#

Started by Alan

Since the DJ set in Waterford on the 24th will be the closest “Therapy?” have ever “appeared” to my hometown (about 30 miles), I will be making my way down there, with a few tossers, sorry, friends, in tow! :)

Also, Throat are a decent band - I have their album (the one that Andy guests on), and it’s pretty good.

Anyone else from these boards heading down?

Rene, do you have any info on times/ticket prices etc?
Will the DJing be before or after Throat play? Or both?

Thats the closest they’ve been to my hometown in ages too - but Im going on my holiday 3 fuckin days before it!!! We have to get them down to Cork or Limerick soon - and they can bring Throat along cos they’re rockin bastards too. The guy who opened Woodstock is playing in Cork on the same night if there’s any crusties lurkin about (forgotten his name already)

Alan, here’s what I heard from Michael: “THROAT will be playing a full band set whilst Andy and I dj before and after their performance. Ticket price is 6 Euro’s and doors are at 21.00!”

Hope this helps!

Okay, was at the DJ set last night. THROAT no-showed, so Andy & Michael had to carry the show themselves.

They played a good lively set (MIKEHELL: stop messing around with those buttons - “let’s see what this one does” - total silence! :D )

I was far too sober to approach/annoy the lads, besides they had work to do. So I just hung around at the bar (I was wearing a white Soundgarden t-shirt & red top, if anyone noticed)

A shame I had to leave early, ‘cos the miserable gits I was with wanted to go home. I wouldn’t mind but at least the bastards were able to drink, while I was sober and driving.

All in all, the atmosphere was a little subdued but I blame Throat’s no-show for that.
