what with the excitement of the forthcoming T? dvd, i wondered what other music dvd’s (concerts, video collections, etc) tickle your fancy.

my favourites would have to be the trilogy concert dvd by the cure, the manics millennium gig in cardiff, and pink floyds film version of the wall.

bad karma: with the exception of the jeff buckley one and the portishead one, i have all of them that you mentioned. the manics greatest hits one is really good actually (apart from the fact that i find the menu’s really annoyingly slow). if you like lost in tv, you should check out the live introducing the band by suede too. it was filmed on the dog man star tour just after bernard left. but i’m sure you knew that anyway…

I quite like Megadeth’s Evolver - the Making of Youthanasia. It’s interesting to watch them assemble a studio, do album photo shoots, and hear some of the stuff put together in the studio.

Some of it is a little bit crummy, but for the most part, enjoyable.

Yeah i knew that i like Suede they have a greatest hits cd out soon and the new single is out in October. If i see a copy of Meeting The Band i might get it.I like the band commentary on Lost In TV.

I also own the Manics Cuba gig on DVD buts its really annoying because for some bizarre reason the songs aren’t in the same order as the Manics played them and the so called ‘bonus tracks’ aren’t of the same picture quality as the gig.

I wish Radiohead would release a DVD of all their videos.

bad karma: i agree that the cuba dvd didn’t live up to what i expected. if only because you have to go through 2 different “chapters” or whatever they’re called to see all the songs. why they put them down as “bonus” live tracks i don’t understand. they should’ve just done it as a live gig and then all the castro interviews and stuff should’ve been separate.

Hullabaloo by Muse has the best sound ever! Just put it on high volume with Dolby Surround, it’ll blow you away! Cunning Stunts by Metallica isn’t bad either.

Lost In TV is great, simply for the fact it’s the only thing but the single itself that has Stay Together on it (my favourite suede song). Other great DVD’s are The Best Of Bowie, Starsailor’s Love Is Here (Live), Bruce Springsteen’s Video Anthology Green Day’s International Supervideos, INXS Live Baby Live and U2 Live From Boston.
All My other favourites have been mentioned before like Hullabaloo, Louder Than War, Leaving The 20th Century andThe Greatest Hits by Manic Street Preachers.

The only music DVD i have is Alice in Chains - Music Bank, and thats f**king great! Real sad to watch them all messing about as kids though considering they never even talked when Layne died.
