hi there!

there was this idea to have some fan band played on some T? fan meeting …

i play bass … so i would love to play in such a band … but i live too far away from you :(
but perhaps when a fan meeting does happen, we all could come together a week before and rehearse some songs?

what do you think?

how long do you play guitar … already played some T? tunes?

cause i really want to sound like great …
most of the bands just like the 12 year old punks .. play a guitar for one week, no three chords and play in a band … thats not my definition of musician … if you know what i mean?

I’d do it but I’m too far away at the moment. Played T? tunes for about 8 years I think. But still don’t know the full solo to Loose :)

ive been playing for about 4-5 years now i suck with big lead playing but i play a lot of rhythem stuff by sabbath megadeth metallica anthrax and Disturbed and Therapys songs arnt especiallly hard to play. Im just on the look out for a new guitar im after a Ibanez Scott Ian sig but thats a bit out of my price range so im thinking of going for an iceman or an epiphone les paul or SG. I use a marshall mg100dfx amp combo which has pretty much all the effects built in that i need the only pedal i use aside from the footswitch on the marshall is a dunlop crybaby wah-wah.

What sort of gear do you guys use?

I (started to learn / learnt) to play on an Epiphone Les Paul that was borrowed. I now have a Gibson SG and er… another Gibson SG (but I didn’t buy the second one…). They sound great, but as far as I remember, the Epiphone sounded fantastic too — the amp it goes through is just as important, I guess (not being a guitar expert). I got a couple of Marshalls, one which I haven’t used in some time and I can’t remember what it is — other than dusty… I think it’s a Valvestate 100 or something like that, but not 100% sure. Got a 15 watt one recently for “moving out of a detached place” reasons… :)

(and please, no “Semi Detached” jokes…)

My guitar is a ventura copy of an ibanez RG, I got it second hand when i started playing and i found out it had been worked on so i got it checked out and it turned out that the humbuckers had been changed to some limited edition Ibanez pick ups, the sound it puts out comming through the marshall on full gain is one quality sound

i play “status energy” bass …

its probably the same sound like mike used in troublegum time …
(probably cause its the same bass *g*)

i play for 11 years now … studied a bit jazz bass on the conservatory, but it sucked …

i cannot afford some good amp, cause when the guitar man just needs 50 Watt … i have to use at least 200 to have the sound i want. but thats more expensive than guitar amps … so i play sometimes with some amps i find in the rehearsel rooms … but at least it needs to have 100 watt

i own a 120 watt Laney … but its probably a bit broken :(
although laney sucks, this amp is really cool, cause with the equalizier i can get out of the stupid middel frequencies and just get in the high and low frequencies … and if you do it really good with lots of equalicers you probably would have the “korn bass” sound (if anyone ever asked how their bass man is able to get this hell of a bass sound!)

i played T? tunes since 94! (since troublegum) and was a lot into the older stuff … as well …

Cheers

i actually played in a therapy? tribute band here in Ireland. we were called ‘acidcum’…well i was young at the time…
It was back in 94/95…did everything from babyteeth to troublegum, went our seperate ways after IL came out, but for a while it was magic. Favorites from the gigs were dancin with manson, prison breaker, accelerator and strangely enough ‘auto surgery’ really rocked!?
Actually had the most fun ever in my life with that band…

Perhaps you could post some set list of yours … although there are a lots of songs after Troublegum…

Well when we could came together … i think i would really like to play “Evil Elvis”, “Teethgrinder” (yeah the bass fill *g*), “Dancin with manson”, “Animal bones” like lots of those songs :)

did T? themselves knew your band or showed up?
