Title: I’m going to see Therapy? tonight!

Woohoo I’m going to see Therapy? at The Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth tonight! It will be the 1st time I’ve seen them in about 3 years and I can’t wait. The only downside is that I have to travel to Pompey to watch them, being a Southampton football fan this isn’t good, but anything is worth it for Therapy?

I will give you a full report about how it went. No doubt it shall be fcuking excellent.

yay! I saw them tonight at the wedge (its a 2 min walk from me :p).
The guys were fantastic, the line up absolutly fantastic and a bloody long encore.
andy is a damn funny guy, i loved his rants about heat magazine and marketing people. his i fucked your mum comment at the end was just plain random.
Some prick shouted at the to start trying and was put down nicely by the guys.
I kinda feel sorry for them since the audience was dead but netherless it was still damn fun and therapy? remain one of the most entertaining live acts i’ve ever seen

Unfortunately I could not get there as am out in DUblin at the moment, which is a shame, cos I like the venue, bet it was fantastic. What was the set list like?

I like the Rooms… last band I saw there was Mad Caddies, and it was brilliant.

you a pompy guy alex???
off the top of my head they played
Misery
teethgrinder
straight life
nowhere
momoment of clarity
safe
hellbelly
unbeliever
Die laughing
knifes
screamanger
church of noise
stories
born too soon

and a bunch of others i cant remember now.
stories was nice since the strings were brought out and screamanger was flawless.
the support bands were actually ok especially the second one, not as bad as support bands usually are.
I’m actually kinda sad its over and really really hope they tour again next year. i love the smaller gigs. they tend to be more “intimate” and they dont turn into a sold out in ten min affair like when other bands only do one gig at say wembley.
I’m just happy i got to see them and tha they are still alive and kicking…now if only pearl jam would visit the uk:(
is it just me or does andy look like his eyes are about to fall out when he plays???

i think somebody is pulling somebody elses leg -

they didn’t play:

Misery
safe
hellbelly
unbeliever
or born too soon

they definitely played in roughly this order:

nowhere
teethgrinder
limbo
nobody here but us
straight life
sister
punishment kiss
if it kills me
rust
die laughing
a moment of clarity
dancin with manson
stop it you’re killing me
lonely cryin only (but with no drums/bass)
church of noise
stories
(intro to alternative ulster) - potato junky
knives
screamager
isolation

and others that i can’t remember the songs / order

it was top notch - except:
no drum stage
no samples in dancin with manson
the crowd sucked a bit - punishment kiss wasn’t that well recieved even though it was the tits

but the set list rocked!!!

I can’t believe more people haven’t been talking about the fact they played Dancing With Manson and Punishment kiss! In all the years I’ve seen Therapy? they have never played those 2 and they’re the ones I’ve always wanted to see. And with Moment of Clarity and Stop it your Killing Me it has to be the best set I’ve ever seen from the guys. Fan-fucking-tastic!

Did anyone else notice Michael looked a bit pissed off all night? Andy was on form but Michael looked like he’d rather be somewhere else. Maybe it was just an off night for him!

I interviewed Amplifer after their sound check and saw Andy watching. Had a bit of a chat while he had his cup of tea. Nicest Rock God you’ll ever meet!

yep, these songs were the business - i only can hope they now add animal bones to the set list for the next tour!

i also thought michael looked extremely pissed off… come to mention it, martin and neil looked a bit the same… a bit like fyfe looked at the ulster hall on his last gig…
so there’s something to discuss!!!!!!!!!

i was a bit pissed off too, because i had to get up extremely early the next day, but thats life. still, pissed offness aside, was a great gig.
