New release DVD’s are becoming more and more expensive

#

Started by Bad Karma

I just read that the Matrix Reloaded will retail for £26.99 and The Lord Of The Rings:The Two Towers-special edition will retail around £50,i’m sure if you shop around online you might get better deals but i don’t think those DVD’s are worth paying that amount of money for.But people will buy them regardless of price i hope these releases don’t start a trend where new release DVD’s become more expensive.

I saw an offer for X2 saying save £9 - this reduced it from £24.99 to £15.99, which is surely a reasonable price for it in the first place

DVD prices are terribly inconsistent, just like cd’s. I don’t get how they can release new DVD’s for £5.99 ( like Shark Attack 3- quality! ) yet justify an average price of £17.99 +.

I think if the prices of new release DVD’s continues to increase i will just wait until they are reduced or in a special offer buy one get one free etc.

That’s what I do anyway, I get my discount off sale items as well so it makes it really cheap. I won’t pay for ‘em new on principle!

That’s a pisser. I recommend spending all your time in the Student Union and demanding that they turn the sound up, or at least put subtitles on :D

This would be the bit where Brad does a particualrly nasty murder and everyone in the cinema is going urgh, except for me grinning madly, thinking ‘that’s Accelarator’?

I thought it ws the bit where they’re driving down the road, like Widgibob said? Could be wrong though, haven’t seen it in years.

She is lovely, she just makes you want to give her a reason to stop scowling.
