I can’t really complain about the taste of T? addicts, can I?

Yes, I can. It’s a shame Skyward, Nausea, Accelerator and Loose didn’t make it, ‘coz these were the fourI voted for.

Probably not, but it’s impossible to please everyone of course ;)

I’m really happy and pleasantly surprised by the results! Straight Life made it, it’s gonna be soooo damn good to hear this song live!! It doesn’t surprise me that Stop It… was voted #1, it does surprise me that the other Troublegum songs didn’t make the top 4, which is good actually.

My fellow WOMbles, you used your votes wisely!

Voted for Stop It and Manson, so 50%, amhappy enough with that (although would have been nice to The Boy’s Asleep, And Skyward. And This One’s For You. And Sister. And and and…)

I make no apologies ofr grumbling - it’s the band’s fault, if they hadn’t been so consistent, iit would have been easier to choose a few!

No, there weren’t any problems, I just needed to do a last check of the votes, to see if they were all valid. I wanted to make sure that there weren’t any attempts at cheating left in there as much as possible (this includes you allroy ;-)), in addition to the ‘anti-cheating’ measures already in place, especially since some of the songs are very close together in terms of the amount of votes.

RobbyVDH wrote:

True, what is it they say again? You can only please 50% of the people, 50% of the time? Although I understand there will still be disppointed people, because they didn’t vote for any of the winning winners, I do hope that they had at least one of the winners as their fifth choice :-)

Let me tell you though, I was personally quite relieved to see that not all songs came from Troublegum and Infernal Love, but that they came from 4 different albums, with all due respect to the people who did strictly vote for songs off those two albums.

Don’t mock my split personality which made vote more than just once. I already get treatment by an Austrian expert. :)

But alright, you’re no longer interested in curing my mental problems. I’ll go and see another expert, my bathroom mirror. :p

Oops, we’re getting off topic. I can already hear Rene grind his teeth. :)

I am very happy, I got 1 out of 4, but it’s the one I wanted to hear most (Moment Of Clarity).

And Dancin’ was fifth on my list, so that’s OK as well.

I didn’t vote for SIYKM because they play it every few years and I’ve heard it live before, but it is one of my all-time favourite T? songs.

So mabye I just have to try to go to a 3rd show this tour.

bollocks to that.

don’t get me wrong, i think it is brilliant that we get to vote for the songs we want, but i hate SIYKM, and i think it has been played at every t? show i’ve been at anyway. i’ve also heard a moment of clarity live too. i love the song, but would rather they played one of the ones i haven’t heard live yet.

this is the proper order, in my head anyway:

1. Innocent X
2. Dancin’ With Manson
3. Stay Happy
4. Loser Cop
5. Skyward
6. He’s Not That Kind Of Girl
7. Six Mile Water
8. Nausea
9. Shitkicker
10. A Moment Of Clarity
11. Loose
12. Gimme Back My Brain
13. Little Tongues First
14. Unbeliever
15. Femtex
16. Straight Life
17. Accelerator
18. This One’s For You
19. Stop It You’re Killing Me

but then again, animal bones should have been in the poll, and would therefore be number 1.

Richboy, interesting how you have “Six Mile Water” and “Not That Kind Of Girl” so high in your list - they’ve definately played those two more than “Stop It” in the last 5 or so years! I’ve seen Therapy? nearly ten times, and I only heard “Stop It” once, and that was in 1996 but I’ve heard the others at least 3 or 4 times.

Just shows how opinions vary. I didn’t vote for it, but I’d prefer “Stop It” over the other two any day - purely based on the fact that I’ve heard it the least, which seems to be what you’re basing your argument on.

ok, so my argument was partly flawed - they play HNTKOG quite a lot, but i like it so that’s ok. since SPYF came out though i have only heard them play 6MW once in 5 shows that i have seen. i have seen the band 6 times altogether and they have played SIYKM every time.

i would prefer them playing the really old stuff with the samples, but i suppose neil has his hands full learning all these songs, and martin probably doesn’t know them either. coupled with the fact that although the early albums were classics, they didn’t sell that well, it would be a bummer playing old stuff live if it went down like a lead balloon. which would be a real shame.

anyway, a bit off topic, but mentioning samples as far as i can recall when they played teethegrinder for the dvd they didn’t play the samples. am i right, or did i not notice because i got a bit carried away? it seems that they nearly always cock up the samples in belfast.

Title: Faith of Femtex in poll…

I think we can easily assume that just like Unbeliever and Hellbelly on recent tours the unlucky number 5 in the tour-poll will become the next Troublegum song to be the second song in the set on a future tour.

But hey, not on this tour (respect to the poll!), but wouldn’t it just be the greatest surprise if they rehearse other songs from the shortlist anyway just to amaze the fuck out of us? And probably the loudest and most adrenalized time ever that thousand people will all happily declare that masturbation saved their lives (because NOBODY expects them to play that tune!)

I mean, apart from the top4 it gives a pretty good indication of what fans wanna hear, right?

Well, after this post EVERYBODY will be expecting it :p

But yeah, I was thinking that since it came so close to the top 4 that they might play it. And if they did, it would indeed be the second song of the set replacing Hellbelly & Unbeliever from previous tours.

on the last poll i think “evil elvis” had this position …

well reminding me of the B side thread …

but i think if T? wants that we love them till death … they should play number 4 and number 5 of some lists …

and should get rid of nowhere and some other tunes (they played to death for 10 years), although there won´t be any concert without it …

Femtex is second fav song on troublegum (after turn) … i think the song really was underated alot … on the “infernal” tour, they played half troublegum and half “infernal” and as far as i know “Femtex” weren´t played since the troublegum tour …

such a shame - for me this was something that made therapy? a bit different. maybe they’ll have overdubbed some samples on the dvd, but then it wouldn’t be ‘live’…

speaking of which, i got this in an e-mail from dvd popcorn:

We apologise for the delay in dispatching Therapy? - Live In Belfast to you. Unfortunately, due to popular demand, this item is currently out of stock with the manufacturer.

Must mean it’s selling well

Cant remember what I voted for but it’ll make little difference coz it’s all good…but I do have to point out thus far…there are a serious lack of dates for Dublin or IRELAND on the tour…you’re gonna come over and let this Therapy? Junkie get a hit before christmas? I mean I could give up if I wanted to, I dont need the stuff, I just want one more hit!!!!

Gimme Gimme Gimme Back My Brain!
