We’re based in Dungannon, but moving to Belfast at the start of the Summer to live there for Music and student Life. Jamie, the drummer, is in Scotland at teh moment, but will probably move down with us. He’s bloody good too. Influences include: Therapy?,Kyuss, Sonic Youth, Big Black, Can, Faith No More, Tomahawk, Mr. Bungle, Slayer, Techno, The Prodigy, Jon Spencer, QOTSA, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Future Days, Dinosoaur Jr. Truman’s Water, The Jesus Lizard, Sepultura, Contagion and about a million more. Who are you into?

Floornail,

Thats cool you have a great drummer, i noticed lately that drummers seem hard to come by in this country?
I probably would have at least one album by most of the bands you mentioned in your post. At the minute i am listening to Ministry, alice in chains, screaming trees , sonic youth , nirvana and therapy? (as always), i have been listening to quite a bit of ska music recently as there are some cool basslines in a lot of the tunes. I like a lot of metal bands too , for the heavy riffs.
This might give you a general idea.
I have decided to try and write my own tunes aswell -how hard can it be?

Jamie’s a lethal drummer, but he’s in Scotland ‘till the summer. He’s torn between staying in Scotland (to get and education) and coming back to Belfast (to become a rock star), he seems to really like the music. We like to do hypnotic riffs, which is probably why I like Therapy? alot. We’re also huge fans of DK, Ministry, Chemical Brothers, Earth, Massive Attack, Ramnones, Zeke and loads of other bands I just can’t think of at the moment. Cool riffage, techno/breakbeat drums, earth-shattering bass lines and dark lyrics about murder, violent sex, drug abuse/overdose, hallucinations, fighting and other things human kind really not-ought to be proud of, but we’re nice guys (really!). What do you think?

Sounds good my friends. But alas, Den Haag is too far away from Northern Ireland (a country that produced some great rock bands over the years, by the way) or else I would have joined you. It could have been fantastic playing Turn with two basses: tatty and me! :D

Where in Scotland is your drummer and is he currently in any bands?

my band are after a drummer just now and his influences are very similar to those of most people in my band already.

Not trying to poach your drummer, just curious in case he is temporarily available.
