poor taste in music

Started by MonotoneJester

this is pretty random

but i guess that’s what chitchat is for

a couple years ago, i ended up driving a van loaded with nine of my family members - four of them teenage girls - across central europe. they all had different tastes in music - pop, punk, alternative, techno, etc - so they all brought separate walkmans to keep themselves occupied on the drive, and so they wouldn’t kill each other fighting over the radio.

i brought my T? cds and a couple of jazz albums, and would borrow their headsets to listen to them while the girls were asleep.

when we stopped off in amsterdam, our van got stripped. somebody broke the locks and took everything we had - food, jackets, sleeping bags, film, and of course the CDs and walkmans.

it was all gone in less than a half hour.

except for the Therapy? CDs, which had been removed from my overnight bag and carefully placed on one of the car seats. like whoever had ripped us off was saying “no thanks”.
made me wonder if the band had really dropped off in popularity, or something.

:)

it also made me pretty happy i’d always had strange taste in music.

and i stayed very happy until we found the dead body behind the hedge. but that’s another story, and has nothing to do with Therapy?, so i won’t post it here.

It just shows that T? are so huge in Europe or in Holland, at least, that everyone already owns their cds. :)

Maybe he respected your taste in music so much, that he kindly decided to leave you your T? CDs ;)

That was bad luck getting all you’re stuff stolen MonotoneJester, maybe the thief was disturbed and left you’re T? CD’s in a hurry to get away?

Or could the thief have been a T? fan

Or maybe the thief had never heard of T? and didn’t think he/she would get any money for them.
