Well after years of worrying about the pain, and fear of needles I’ve just had the infernal love heart/questionmark done on my arm. I t’s about 15cm by 15cm and pure black, I’m well chuffed with it, I cant wait to show off the photos!:) It wasn’t sore so if your scared of getting one, don’t be, it’s a bit tender now though..yeah kick ass!!!!!!!!!:D

@ctrlaltdelete: welcome to the Club! I have the same and I think I can easily guess the meaning it has for you… I was in more or less the same situation when I had my T? heart ;)

@hooch: Where do you have your gemil tattoo? ‘Cause the amount of pain you feel depends on skin thickness. Anyway, if you want a great and painless tattoo, either you have a “hennĂ©” one or you get fucking drunk before. More, if you fall asleep, you won’t move and the result will only be better :D
I don’t have another one myself just because I can’t decide the subject yet… any suggestions?

Tatttoos are a chapter heading for goes on in your life. Pick something that means something to you and looks cool too. If you think it will stand the test of time then get it. @hooch.. Maybe because you were getting a gemmil done the artist didn’t use as many needles, because it’s more of an outline than block colour. For outlines I think they set the needles a bit deeper so it doesn’t seep, if that makes any sense, so maybe thats why it hurt so bad… or maybe you had it done somewhere that’s not too fleshy, gggrrrrrr!

Yeah, I was told by the tattooist that it hurt more cause it was just an outline needle, which is different to the fill one. He also refered to gemil as ‘the coathanger’

@Phantom - It’s at the top of my right arm, I did have a henna one on my ankle for ages when I was young (14/15) but it didn’t look great, kinda blurry :(

I agree that you should only have tattoos done if they really mean something to you, I’d been into T? for 7 years before I got my gemil cause everyone kept saying it was just a phase and I’d go off T? then regret it - pants to them! :D

@hooch: Now I understand! my questionheart is at the top of my left arm and, as everybody knows, left arms are less pain sensitive than right ones… :D

Of course, my love for T? was not the only reason that made me choose the questionheart for my tattoo back in ‘96, and I still don’t know the exact meaning of the questionheart for T? themselves… I’ve my own meaning ( something to do with a long relationship broken up by 1500Km distance… ctrlaltdel, you know what I mean ;) ) and I’m happy of this “double link” with both my own feelings and one of my favourite bands. That is, life and music melt once again, as usually happens in my life.
