Billy Talent

This year’s newcomer band, much like Dredg last year, their album seems to go unnoticed. It’s worth checking out, though. There are so many hits on that CD! Sure, Billy Talent aren’t exactly reinventing the wheel. Their music sounds like At The Drive-In trying to make a pop album. The singer screams a lot, but when he sings he reminds me of Mike Patton ca. 1990 (when “The Real Thing” and “Mr. Bungle” were released). Great album, big hope!

i’ve seen them on mtv2 with a track called “try honesty” (at least i think that’s what it was called). i can’t claim to be too impressed though. i just remember one of them had silly hair. sorry.

I got Prisoners Of Today on a free cd, it sounds like an average pop punk song to me. So I can’t understand the often read comparisons with ATDI.
