RADIOHEAD will take over the BBCÂ’s 6 MUSIC channel over the Christmas period.
All members of the band will choose the music, artists, and programming from December 22 to 28. The band will have access to the archives, rare recordings, and over 7,000 artists to create a week’s listening.
The band will also co-present and contribute website material. Each member of Radiohead will control a day.
Programme editor at 6 Music John Sugar is excited about the bands involvement. “We are delighted to have Radiohead on board - they are one of the UK’s leading rock bands, and huge music enthusiasts,” he said.
“It will be exciting for our listeners to see what Radiohead do with this creative freedom and what it reveals about the group’s personal taste and influences. It is going to be an extremely exciting and interesting Christmas week on 6 Music..”
