Worst T? song

#

Started by Alan

Just thought it might be interesting to see what people here consider to be the worst (least best?) Therapy? song that has been recorded. Only original compositions are included here.

Some of these I dislike, but some I actually do like and I’ve only included them ‘cos other people seem to hate them… opinions, eh? So don’t hate me if I’ve included your favourite! :)

(Before changing the message boards’ software in August 2007 this discussion contained a poll, which may return in the future)

The point of this poll is for a bit of fun.

You wanna pretend everything T? have done is a masterpiece, then go right ahead.

You should have included an option like ‘none of the above’.
Now I don’t know which song to vote for (a cheap excuse, isn’t it? :))

Shit, you’re right, a “none of the above” option should be there.

As well as an “Alan, you’re a dickhead” option!! :D

Maybe Hooch can include it… the “none of the above” option, obviously! ;)

A bit of fun then.

‘Body bag girl’ shoots into the lead - as indeed it should. Bag o shite. Even worse when played live - with the Gary Glitter singalong bit.

The only thing that could have persuaded me not to vote for it would have been the inclusion of ‘tango romeo’ on the list.

No way man, that’s a classic! :D

Thank God Martin sings that bit, ‘cos can you imagine Andy’s voice for that line?

There are some corkers in there, but forgive and forget. ;)

I voted for God Kicks, because Hate, Kill, Destroy is absent, but Body Bag Girl is also quite lame. I used to hate Tramline, now I can actually appreciate it.

Of course T? has some songs that aren’t as good as the rest, but one of the things I like about T? is that the good/bad songs ratio is way better compared to other bands!

I agree, they’ve got a high ‘hit to shit’ ratio, but when they’re bad, they’re very VERY bad.

Gotta disagree with MVD being on the list - IMO there’s not a poor track on HA.

its hard to belive “gods kicks” seems to be disliked so much - is it patronising to think you have to be irish to really “get” the song? only certain joy divison songs have the same effect on me as that little gem.

I love ‘god kicks’ - it’s got a really good Toma Waits-y vibe, unlike anything else they’ve done. The highlight of SPYF for me (by the way, I’m half-Irish - does that count?).

Who knows what goes on in that head of yours? Well, I know what goes on in mine. There are just two songs that I’m not quite fond of (how diplomatic ;) ) and those are Deep Sleep and Tramline. Looking at the results of the poll so far, I belong to a minority! Oohh, that feels great! :D

i did. i can unashamedly say that i think the song sucks major donkey balls. i realise it seems to be held in high regard around here and thats fair enough, but then i hold “god kicks” in high regard also and its coming second in this poll, which pisses me off a bit!

I tend to like the bad songs and love the good songs. So what I like about T?, is that I even like the “bad” songs.

There are some songs that I skip sometimes, some are even on the poll, but there isn’t a single song that I skip all of the time.

I don’t know what it is with that song, musically it’s ok, but the way it’s sung, and the lyrics…
