I can’t listen to this one. Waaaaaaaaay too mellow and the songs seem to go nowhere. I’ve so far managed to listen to about half of tracks 1-3, skipping before I have to turn it off.

Gutted, I am :(

listen to tracks 5 and 8,you might like those,at least!

my fave feeder album (and also my first) is yesterday went too soon.love the diversity.the balance between mellow and faster songs is way better there.
pushing the senses may not be a corker like YWTS,but still pisses over comfort in sound IMHO.

I’ve liked any Feeder song I’ve ever heard, yet I’ve never been even remotely tempted to buy one of their albums, I just walk pass them in the record shop. Don’t know why.

Perhaps I’ll take a chance on this one.

back on topic:

I did listen through the site, not bad, just doesn’t get the juices flowing. Maybe I’ll give it another listen.

I’ve heard the new Feeder album as well it’s ok i like Bitter Glass. But after hearing Swim a few weeks back i can’t help but think they should leave the middle aged sounding songs to the likes of the Manics and go back to writing rock songs.

of course it’s not their best offering to date, but even the worst songs on their records are stunners when played live.

Does it allow you to remix other songs or just the new Feeder single?

Quote (author unknown):

When I first saw them at Sound City in Leeds supporting the Wildhearts, something clicked and I went and preordered Swim. I then proceeded to go to many gigs and was really hooked on the music, also loved the use of the cine projector. Even got a massive poster signed by all three and a Jon Lee signed drumstick.
But it just seemed that Grant had a desire to be popular, which isn’t a bad thing, but they drifted away from that sound that first caught me (and Taka cut his horns off!).

They did put on a good show at Download though, but I’ve lost that need to buy all the singles and get the album as soon as it comes out.
