We spoke about the book earlier…
I think it’s a great book, a friend and I spoke about it just a couple of days ago and he was telling me about some of the killings and I thought I think the fact where a bit different, so I red some parts again… He did not found the rat in the kitchen, but got it and on purpuse did not feed it for 4 days… so the rat would eat anything that came in his way :D And he used olive oil not brie :D:D
I found it prefectly describted the empthyness he feels and tries to fill it with killing, like when he kills the little boy in the ZOO… it did do nothing to him anymore, no excitment, no thrill, just nothing.

FUCKING LOVE THEM BOTH !!!! :) Sorry to type that in caps, but I had to. The book is fantastic, so well written; the attention to detail is magnificent.

The murders are more gruesome in the book, which I thought was good, cos it made it scarier and more realistic, but I don’t want to spoil them for those who haven’t read it by listing them here. But if you have any friends who are faint of heart, do tell them about them after having read it ;)

The film is as good as could be expected for a film shown in the cinemas, Christian Bale was Patrick Bateman incarnate, tough I thought William Dafoe was a bit too old to play Detective Kimble. The ending was a bit different from the book, but not really.

Slightly O/T, but in case you didn’t know, Patrick Bateman’s brother is Sean Bateman (played by James Van Der Beek of Dawson’s Creek fame) in Rules Of Attraction. They actually appear in each other’s book, but not in the films, apart from a few references in Rules Of Attraction.

That’s a great film. Usually I hate Brian Dennehy but he played Gacy brilliantly. They’ve made another film about Gacy called, originally enough… ‘Gacy’. Basically the reviews said to avoid it and watch ‘To Catch To Killer’ instead. ‘Gacy’ was basically made to cash-in on the straight to video successes of Dahmer and Bundy.
If you liked any of those, check out ‘Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer’, then look up stuff about Henry Lee Lucas on the internet. Total nutcase who reckons he was involved in just about every high profile murder in America and even the Jonestown Massacre (He says he supplied the poison).

Yeah, I’ve also heard that is a very good book about Dahmer. I got few weeks ago the book that his father (Lionel Dahmer) has written ‘A Father’s Story’, I have only few pages left to read. And I must say it’s amazing, it’s so good I don’t want it to end.
‘A Father’s Story’ and ‘The Shrine Of Jeffrey Dahmer’ are the best books about Dahmer.
But the problem with the Lionel Dahmer book is that is not so easy to find. I had to order it and many bookshops didn’t even know about it
