Bout damn time! Their last album was in, what, ‘99? At least that’s what I have listed here (course, my info could be wrong, as sometimes it is). Good to hear though. I havn’t heard Pure, but I like Revolt.

Yeah Revolt came out way back in 1999 after that album they split up due to musical differences they reformed around 2002 and have played a few live shows and released a single called Repeat To Fade which is a heavier direction for them. You can download all the singles and B-sides from the Pure album from their site Krisken.

Wow, thanks! Three days ago I was listening to Revolt and wondered what had happened to them. Usually I just accept that most of the music I listen to has faded into obscurity. Looks like I’ll have to go and do some research on a few bands I like and see if I can do some ordering at the local record store. Thanks for the info Bad Karma :)

Actually, Pete’s the bass player (and singer). They have a new guitarist. His name is Paul. Ben Harding now works for the Help The Aged charity.

I interviewed Chris and Pete on their 2003 tour and they were really nice guys. Smoking spliffs all the time :) Oh, and Chris is a dad now, in case anyone is wondering.

Not that impressed with all the new stuff; Repeat To Fade is okay, it’s just a bit repetitve (no pun intended), but maybe that’s the point. I like Counterfeit Jesus though.

DOH!!! Sorry about the mix up.There was an article a few years back in Melody Maker about what people did after their bands split up and Ben was one of them along with some guy from Northern Uproar who is now a hairdresser.I can’t remember what other bands were featured. The only new songs i have heard are Repeat To Fade and Shopping Trolley Children. After 3 Colours Red split Pete and Keith formed a new band called Elevation but because of some legal problems the album was never released.

Yeah :( I bought the EP they released. It was OK. Pete’s planning to release some of the material as a mini-album this year apparently.

On their latest tour they played Counterfeit Jesus, F.U.C.K. and Repeat To Fade. They weren’t brilliant, certainly not a patch on the best of the old stuff.

Special was the best track on the EP. The other 2 were Endure Yourself was a slow ballad (eugh) and Broken, which sounded a lot like 3CR.

The band name sucked. If you tried looking for stuff on them on the web, 99% of the hits were sites about the U2 “Elevation” tour. D’oh.

Fuck yes! I was lucky enough to be in Britain at the time of the Elevation release and I got the only copy of it in the Virgin shop I was in. As for Repeat To Fade, I think you’d have to buy it online or something.

I’ve got absolutely every single and album 3CR have released apart from that fucking Repeat To Fade one. I’ve even got the Fierce Panda version of “This Is My Hollywood” with “Pure” and “Hateslick” as b-sides. I’ve also got the pre-release sampler of Revolt with 4 songs on it plus the “This Is My Time” radio single with all the B-Sides of the 2 general release ones plus the demo of “Paranoid People”.

Also one of the walls of my bedroom is covered with 3CR posters and photos.

But that Repeat To Fade single is impossible to get :(
