I guess that T? supports Wildhearts. Just looked thru some of the sites where the gigs are and T? is mentioned after The Wildhearts… In Hammesmith Palais there is not a word about T? playing there. Is it comfirmed that they will be there..? We are planning to see them at there if there is no Russian dates. Any news about them Sascha?

I always assumed (mainly on the sales of Troublegum and IL) that T? were bigger than the Wildhearts - am I wrong?

So will we be hearing WIP versions of new songs? And will the tour move on to Ireland in May? A date in Dublin then would be really fantastic!

I booked the tickets on the strength of The Wildhearts and Backyard Babies…but when i just read the email i nearly cried…What a fucking awesome night it’ll be…I see what you’re saying about Troublegum and IL being bigger…but I think The Wildhearts have been the consistently bigger band…but at the same time…both bands were at their commercial peak round about the same time…all we need now is a reformed Terrorvision on the bill and i would cream myself here at my desk in work…and i’d be proud of it

Therapy kinda disappeared from the mainstream media in the UK, but the Wildhearts have had a few top 40 enteries in the last year (I think ‘Stormy in the North’ went to No. 17) and they get their video’s played on Kerrang! and Scuzz Tv channels, plus the Wildhearts were touring the UK anyway so I guess they have just added T? to the bill!

I got 3 tickets to the Manchetser Gig to see the Wildhearts so the fact that they have added T? is ace news!

Twice in one year! havent had that since ‘95 [tear in eye whilst remembering the good ol’ days!]

Am just thinking of it in terms of 3-times-in-12-months, which is a record for me (just in relation to seeing T?, not other areas of my life).

I kind of lost sight of the Wildhearts the first time they split after phuq, but am looking forward to seeing them - I take it that the general feeling is that they will be headlining?

Anyone know how the Hammersmith Palais compares with the Astoria/Mean Fiddler in size?

The Palais is vast, maybe two or three times the size…

there are posters for the gig around edinburgh but they’re wildhearts poster with no mention of therapy? so maybe the wildhearts’ll headlining. They announced their tour ages ago so maybe that’s why. doesn’t matter anyway - it’s all good

Maybe a stupid question, but why are they touring again??

Not because of a new album and last December they said they would go to the countries where they haven’t been in a very long time…

But looking at the announced tourdates… besides Turkey… why so many UK shows?? They’ve already done quite a lot in December…

I just hope they come to Europe as well, my Therapy? car is fueled up and ready to go :D

btw I’m sure T? are bigger than the wildhearts, I mean the wildhearts had split up and everything hadn’t they?

Am guessing that the chance to tour with their mates came up and they jumped on it - plus as it’s not ‘their’ tour, maybe they feel they can try out more uncompleted works for the next album. Plus they might then roll on to other countries under their own steam in May (look at the tour dates on the Wildhearts site - they’re doing the same kind of thing). Plus T? have always been a live band first and foremost, and I guess having had a good 2003, they and Spitfire are keen to keep the momentum going.

Got a message from the Wildhearts mailling list…

“Hi,

As The Wildhearts 2004 touring continues, the interest in the support acts for the April UK tour has been feverish.

We’re very pleased to report that the UK tour will feature a line-up mouth-watering enough to get even the most hardened rock cynic out of the pub to catch the support bands, as the Wildhearts will be accompanied by Therapy? and The Glitterati. Make sure you get your tickets - this one’s going to be good!

There’s also an additional warm-up date before the band take on America, with an appearance at Tunbridge Wells Forum - 4th March to go with the previously announced date at Torquay Town Hall on the 5th”

Looks like the Backyard Babies wont be playing then…

Well, The Wildhearts are my favourite band and Therapy? are in the top five, so this is quite honestly the best news ever. I hope nobody on here is too put out that T? are the support… right now it’s true to say that The Wildhearts play to much bigger audiences in the UK. (The fact that T? have had bugger all radio/TV support for years doesn’t help) For a few people with short memories, they’re about to have a real ‘have you forgotten how good they are’ moment!

It will be the best night ever though. When I read that T? had been added my eyes glazed over… I was at work and got some funny stares from the person sitting opposite!
