I’m not too familiar with the stuff they’ve released after they reformed last year, but I’d recommend trying to download Earth Vs. The Wildhearts, P.H.U.Q. and Fishing For Luckies (they’re all albums). As for individual tracks… Suckerpunch, My Baby Is A Headfuck, Greetings From Shitsville, TV Tan, Sick Of Drugs, Caffeine Bomb, Geordie In Wonderland, Red Light Green Light, Everlone, I Wanna Go Where The People Go, Just In Lust, 29 X The Pain.. the list goes on and on. I like to think of them as a cheesier version of 3 Colours Red.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA… excellent! :D

back on the subject of the wildhearts, everyone hates the album “endless nameless” except me, apparently. “nurse”, “urge” and especially “anthem” are brilliant tracks off that album. but I believe they don’t play any of that stuff live :(

the most recent album, “the wildhearts must be destroyed”, is also pretty good, though a bit, ummmm… sweet in places. “vanilla radio” is my favourite track off that, also “nexus icon” and “so into you”. “karma in the south” was only released as a single, and is also great.

and apart from that, JSar has it about right :)

Absolutely class band, i’m glad someone brought em up.

Earth Vs The Wildhearts is commonly referred to as their best album and it has probably the best set of rock songs i’ve ever heard…Everlone, Greetings From Shitsville,Suckerpunch, Caffeine Bomb, Miles Away Girl, Loveshit..the whole lot actually. It also has My Baby Is A Headfuck which is more than just a great title, it’s possibly the best rock’n’roll song (and solo) i’ve ever heard. No bullshit.Buy that then everything else they ever released…GO

Just You and me then.I think it’s class and Pissjoy is a brilliant track. Some sort of cross between T Rex and Throbbing Gristle :D

It’s just that everyone used to compare 3CR to the Wildhearts when 3CR had their first album out, and it annoyed me, because I couldn’t hear that much of a resemblance. 3CR were way more punky and the Wildhearts were more straightforward rock’n’roll.

I like some of Endless, Nameless. Junkenstein and Anthem are my favs.

Argh!!!!!
Fuck 3 Colours Red, fuck them in their stupid ears! 3CR only came about because of the mighty Wildhearts and they were just trying to be a more radio friendly version of the ‘Hearts.

God I have such a passion in hating 3CR.

We smile the 60 mile smile?! What the hell is that?!

Schmucks!!!

The first album was great, and so was the second.

Roll on June when album no.3 “The Union of Souls” is out!

3CR - Fucking excellent albums, fucking excellent live!

I rest my case…

… headlight apocalypse… *cue HUGE guitar*

it’s official. 3 colours red and therapy? (in no particular order) are the two most brilliant bands on the planet. :D

No way. Listen to “Paranoid People” by 3CR, then listen to “My Baby Is A Headfuck” by the Wildhearts. Ooooh, what a striking similarity. The only 3CR songs that sound remotely like the Wildhearts are Love’s Cradle and possibly Mental Blocks.

Billy Blue wrote:

Well, it’s not quite up there with the Wildhearts’ “Nothing ever changeeees, but the shoooooes”, which made me laugh so much I almost dropped my benchpress bar on my chest, but it’s still ok.

So smile, we smile, they smile, sucky smile, wanky smile, chelsea smile!!

Whatever smile!

Actually I can’t quite remember why I hate them so much, but whenever I hear their name it makes me recoil!

Maybe its coz Chris is so small. Saw him at a Therapy? gig at the Astoria standing next to Ginger Wildheart and he was so tiny. Not that I have anything against small people, but I can’t think of anything else…

Maybe I should stop talking too!

I love everything The Wildhearts have ever done, their my favourite band (sorry T?) If you want their best songs to download in my opinion, get Vanilla Radio, Sick Of Drugs, Suckerpunch, Love You Til I Don’t, Dangerlust, Inglorious, Junkenstein, Urge, Heroin, Fugazi (Do The Fake), Can’t Do Right For Doing Wrong, Miles Away Girl, My Baby Is A Headfuck, Woah Shit, You Got Through, Caprice, Fuck it i’m gonna be here all day. I’d say download any of them because in my opinion they have never done a bad song.

And Endless Nameless is a fucking ace album. If you wanna know what they are like live they release a live album on Monday called “The Wildhearts Strike Back” which should be available from all good stores.

Their first ever official live album is out on monday . The wildhearts strike back.It will be worth buying. They will also be releasing a d.v.d next year which they are filming at the london show.On the bands official website it says that the fans will be able to request the songs they want to hear for the tour so it will probably be either a best of set or a set with loads of b-sides.I’m going to the bristol gig it will be the fourth time of seeing the band in 2 years also going to see ginger acoustic show in the newport tj’s.Can’t wait

As for downloading songs just try and get any you can find cause there all great

Might as well just say for all the Wildhearts fans out there that they are recording a live DVD in London in December, and you all can help choose the set list by going to

and selecting 15 songs.

Can i just urge people to vote for Endless Nameless songs if poss, esp Urge, Soundog Babylon and Now is the Colour, as they never play these live so need some encouragement. I would say Anthem as well but the guy who wrote that isn’t in the band anymore (though I voted for it anyway :D ).

And for my tuppence worth, 3cr and Wildhearts are both amazing bands, though thw Wildhearts are slightly better.

Anyone planning on catching them on the december tour?

From the site:

Quote (author unknown):

Ginger has news about the Christmas tour: “although to be confirmed, we hope to have CARDIACS on the bill as special guests. One of our all time favourite bands, for anyone that hasn’t seen this band in concert CARDIACS are one of the most amazing bands to ever grace a stage, and we will be proud to have them as our guests on this tour.

Support also looks likely to come from Deckard (ex-Baby Chaos), another incredible band you will suffer from missing, should you be crazy enough to miss.

Can I hear a ‘fuck yeah’? Thought so”.

All i can say is i really hope it works out this way.Cardiacs are indeed one of the most unique and amazing (and crininally underrated) bands on the planet

Thanks for posting this. It’s damn hard to pick just 15 songs. I still can’t get over that one night I saw The Darkness at my home town. I arrived late and missed The Wildhearts. I hadn’t even known they would play and they’re never gonna come to Vienna again. I wanna die.
