T? Live Album…!!!!

#

Started by Jobrok (John O))))

Why have T? never released a Live Album.

They had the perfect opertunity to so when they released the SCOPOPHOBIA DVD.

Most bands who release a Live DVD’s release a Live CD version also.

Just wondering, that’s all!

Hey!
Maybe they should release SCOPOPHOBIA on CD as a fairwell salute to Martin McC…

That’d be pretty cool! Ya think?

Why on earth would they release a live cd? There’s hundreds of live shows out there, many of them are of superb quality, so an official live cd wouldn’t have any added value whatsoever. That’s my humble opinion anyway.

Yeah! I suppose so…

But a lot of T? fans are only in it for the official stuff.
I know I was up until about a year ago. It’s only then that I started getting bootlegs.

And yes! There ARE some superb live shows available. All the more reason for T? to do an official live CD

I think I’d like it anyway…

The sound off that Fan Club CD is rubbish! I can do without an official live album if it sounds like that.

The live in Japan cassette had great sound quality, even though the editing between songs left a lot to be desired.

It’s just the one thing that’s missing from the catalogue.

The Fanclub CD is a live album of sorts! Fair enough. but it’s extremely rare.

I suppose we should just be grateful to have SCOPOPHOBIA.

Plus if the band choose not to release a live CD because they want to promote bootlegging, then that’s good enough for me.

I never thought about that. I suppose it wouldn’t matter as long as the versions of tracks included kicked some serious ASS!!!!

I think they should definitely have released SCOPOPHOBIA as a live CD along with the DVD.

Usually, live albums seem to bea good way to make money out of a band which is successful and/or hasn’t any new material in the making.
I don’t think T? fit into this scheme.
But I’d appreciate if they might sell live cds at their shows.

By the way, German band Einstürzende Neubauten offer their fans a nice package on their current tour.
After the show you can buy a recording of the actual show on cd-r. I don’t know how long you’ll have to wait for it (20 minutes or more) as I can’t make it to see them this year, but to have an official bootleg of the show you attended is definitely a nice souvenir.

Great idea…!!!!

I know T? gave out copies of MY VOODOO DOLL on tour, but there were only 2000 or so.

When I went to HENRY ROLLINS, there were 2 CDs available to buy at the merchandise counter.
The first was a live CD, and the second was a collection of outakes from the recording sessions of their last album.
Both were only available on tour or from the bands website.
I bought one and my buddy bought the other.

T? should try something like this.

I think Coldplay did that with their live DVD,it would have made a cool package. You always rip the audio from the DVD and burn you’re own live in Belfast CD.
I wouldn’t have a problem with T? selling live CD’s at a gig as long as they made them available to order through the site.

Yep, Aereogramme are doing something similar.
They already have three different cds out with acoustic versions and live songs. They’re also selling them on tour only.

The norm in shops here in IRELAND is around €21 - €22.
Very expensive! That’s why I always buy on the internet.

CD prices in Northern Ireland aren’t too bad the average price of a CD is around £12.99,if you’re into ‘mainstream music’ you can usually pick up a new release album for £9.99 in Tesco or Sainsburys.

If the sound quality was good i would buy a T? live CD or CD-R at a reasonable price.

I second Jobrok’s motion to release a Live CD but from a different gig as the Scopophobia DVD and the sound quality should be as good as a studio album because that’s the reason I only have 5 bootlegs.

Title: Therapy? Live CD

A live recording of Scopophobia wouldn’t be such a bad idea. was a fantastic gig and well worth the experience. Got the dvd, but a live cd would be good so i could listen to it in me car. I do however posess a tape recording of the legendary Therapy? gig at the Ulster Hall way back on the 30th of December 1995 ( not sure if this would be valuable, except to me that is). I think it was radio one who recorded the set except they editted out Potato Junkie and Knives the bastards. It was a pretty damn good recording except for the bleeping to cut out the foul language that would no doubt offend some listeners, if you don’t want to listen too great music by a highly talented band then fuck off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the sound of an RUC Meat Wagon coming to take you away…!!

Yeah, but I don’t think it’s fair that the same location gets another chance to play host to the recording. It very well may be their hometown but I think they owe as much of their success to Belgium, Holland or the rest of Europe.

It’s plain to see that they have lots of fans in mainland Europe; I mean just look at the amount of Belgian and Dutch people on here. There are more Belgians signed up to WoM than there are Belgians that aren’t :)
