i know you get fed up with polls, but i thought this one would be quite interesting

(Before changing the message boards’ software in August 2007 this discussion contained a poll, which may return in the future)

I feel sort of queasy. I voted for the recent line up as well, but now I feel I’ve betrayed Martin. And I miss Fyfe, too :( ANd now I feel guilty about leaving Graham out of the list of people I miss… Can I vote for them all? Bit pointless then, though, I suppose…

I voted for the line-up that actually wasn’t a permanent line-up (what is permanent?) so I voted for Andy, Michael, Fyfe adn Martin but actually I preferred the original line-up.

allroy is so right! This is the most evil poll ever in this board. We can discuss from this line-up thing forever.

I just can’t vote… I don’t want to. I always liked the line up although I preferred Fyfe as drummer mostly, he was the drummer when I got to know the band and I think therefore he’ll always have a step forward to Neil but Neil is an amazing drummer as well. And this all doensn’t mean I didn’t like Graham’s drumming.
I think it’s indeed a bit like allroy said.

I agree with allroy, this is an endless discussion and will probably lead again to people not agreeing on who the best drummer is :o

Oh dear, that’s cruel. That’s really, really cruel. I voted for Andy, Micheal, Martin and Fyfe, because, Fyfe was in when I became a fan, and Martin simply was… Martin. The guy who asked if I was ok when the stage diver knocked me out with his Doc Martens… (Not to mix with when Michael tried to knock me out with his bass guitar ;) ) Elephants never forget. :D

I think Fyfe sounds better in the original trio but can’t see him being better than Neil in this line up …

As for Graham … he was ok .. but not the best drummer T? will ever have

Stop right there! We don’t need another Fyfe vs. Graham vs. Neil thread on this board!

I’ve not voted yet, on the basis that I’ve not heard any of the creative output of the current line-up, but my hopes are high for the boys.

Hmmmm. Well, I alway preferred them as a four piece so, for me in this poll, the only people to choose between are the drummers…

Sorry! :o

Exactly …I was not trying to open a “drummer” conversation. Just comparing what the poll has to offer ;)

i voted for the line up that created my favourite t? album (infernal love) although every line up has been great. but, i only first saw t? live on the suicide pact tour so perhaps i should’ve made a different choice. this poll should be divided into best studio line up and best live line up perhaps. oooh, this poll is mean. every line up is great. fuck it.

Agreed. That was my only intention as well. And I chose the line-up with Fyfe, as he was in the band “back then”. I liked Graham, and I probably like Neil. I don’t think T? ever had a bad drummer.

You said it! T? never had a bad drummer. That’s also why I cannot and don’t want to make a choice. All line-ups are unique and therefore not comparable.

There’s one missing though: Andy and Martin. I saw them play a semi-acoustic set in an old church in Den Haag. Andy smashed a Gibson Les Paul and gave it to a bloke in the audience.
It almost was Andy, Martin & 3ddo in one song, but due to miscommunication and a misunderstanding from my side (fucking language) it was abandoned even before it started
