There’s a reader’s poll on the album of the week in Germany’s rock magazine VISIONS; and, guess what, ten years ago Therapy’s “Troublegum” was on the No 1 spot.

Those were the days, folks, those were the days…

Haven’t Germans always had crap taste in music or am I just being ignorant. Let’s face it, it is the only country where David Hasselhoff has been popular as a musician.

hey, i loved knight rider as a kid so don’t talk shit about david hasselhoff;)
most of the really bad stuff in the german charts is the cause of an evil part of the world (no, not france) it’s mallorca. that’s the place where all those cruel singalong songs are getting big. i think it’s time for the un to start working on this problem.

Besides, now i can drive i dont think i would like a car that back-chatted… can you imagine how frustrating driving to work would be with the fucking car commenting on everything you did?

I have a talking GPS-system though and I quote: “you should have taken a right about a 100 meters ago, you stupid cunt”. Unlike other GPS-systems it doesn’t give directions prior but after you should perform them.

Right, this is your co-driver’s job.

Besides, we already had David Hasselhoff discussed somewhere else, especially his political merits.

Finally, nearly every top ten in any country is full of crap.

PS: Wait until Rammstein or DJ Ötzi hit your charts again.

Well, here’s the Top 5 from VISIONS’ poll in May 1994:

1. Therapy? - Troublegum
2. Soundgarden - Superunknown
3. Pearl Jam - dto.
4. Prong - can’t remember, sorry
5. Alice In Chains - Jar Of Flies

That’s 4 outta 5 on my CD shelf; am I old-fashioned? :-)

Pearl Jam suck. I hope that’s the one you 2 are missing, but I’m guessing it’s the Prong albu.
