anyone else on here like VAST? i was going through my cds last night looking for something i hadn’t listened to in ages and i came across the first album ‘visual audio sensory theatre’. I’d forgotten what a good album it is. the melodies are perfect, especially on ‘you’. such a sad song.
‘here’ is great too, i love the build up at the start. The riff in ‘three doors’ is the business too, love the way it changes from acoustic sounding to electric.
I was reading in Kerrang? the other week that there’s a new album out, and they gave it a fairly decent review, said fans of the band would like it. anyway, has anyone heard it. is it worth getting?

I’ve got it, it’s called Nude, and worth having, takes a couple of listens to get into, but I love it now.

What did Kerrap! give it?

I only have their first album (Visual Audio Sensory Theatre) but I love it (especially ‘I’m Dying’ & ‘You’)! But when I go out to buy some other VAST albums, I always come home with other cd’s… pity…

yeah it’s the sort of thing you just put on by accident and then wonder why you forgot about it.

Beefgrinder - I think they gave it a three or a four, but the write up was pretty decent saying fans of the band would enjoy it. Also said something about a U2 influence???

Erm, not in anything I heard on the album! But yeah, if you liked the first two you’ll have no problems with this one.

VAST have a new single for download at http://www.rock-sound.net if anyone’s interested. It’ll only cost you 99p. Cheaper than getting the bus into town to buy it in a regular shop.
