Might go to the London gig - assume if he’s promoting a Carter USM book, then he’ll mainly be playing Carter stuff?

Did T? ever tour with Carter? Seem to remember that they got namechecked in the thank-yous on 1992: The Love Album (can’t believe that was 12 years ago!)

Title: Jim Bob (Carter USM) gig update and MP3s (merged)

Right, lots of cool info and downloadable MP3s in this thread so pay attention. ;)

Jim Bob, formerly of Carter USM fame is doing another acoustic tour. He has just released a book about life on the road with the band in the early 90’s and it is a great read (even if you don’t know the band). Jim is playing The 13th Note Cafe on Friday 21st May, The whole gig is acoustic and costs a fiver. It starts at about 8:30 and promises to be a great night of fun and games.

Support comes from the excellent Chris TT and Yer Maw.

If you want to read a sample chapter from Jim’s book then there is one HERE and the tour diary for the dates he has currently done is HERE.

Below are some links to acoustic MP3s by each artist performing on the bill for you to download and enjoy. ;)

Jim Bob - I Lost My Baby To The Arms Race
Jim Bob - In A Big Flash Car On A Saturday Night
Jim Bob - Falling On a Bruise
Jim Bob - Could You B The 1 I Waired 4

Chris TT - Sellotape (Dawson’s Creek)
Chris TT - The Shape We’re In
Chris TT - Drink Beer

Yer Maw - Karmaceutical

Hopefully that will keep you entertained for a while but don’t forget to turn up at the gig. ;)

That is really cool, suppose he’s not coming to other countries, I would really like to see that gig.

Actaully, Carter USM was the first proper gig I went to when I was sixteen or so. Great T-shirts!
