I also thought about it for a moment, but there’s the damn question: who’s headlining? Double bills usually mean that both bands play shorter sets than usual, so I would prefer a headliner. And as I’m afraid that Helmet still have a bigger name than T? (see the tour with The Wildhearts) I’m against it ‘coz I want T? as top of the bill.

Man thats the best news I heard in ages.

I always thought Aftertaste was a weak album, and a bad way to bow out.

What happened to Page’s other band then Gandhi? I thought the demo was pretty cool. Wern’t as keen on ‘Throwing Punches’ off the underworld soundtrack though, that was to kinda nu-metal…

But whatever great news!!

I think in the UK Therapy? are bigger than Helmet. In the rest of Europe I’d say Helmet are bigger. I think if they only went on tour with each other (no 3rd support band) and had early stagetimes, we could have full sets by both bands. But then, pigs could also start flying.

I know most of this has already been posted here but the NINies might be interested to hear about Charlie Clouser’s involvement.
As for Helmet/T? tour, Helmet would probably be the headliners I’d say. There’s such a legendary status going with the name. probably never happen though. go on give out to me for being pessimistic, I can take it. ;)

From Blistering.com:

According to a posting at I Ate Your Microphone, HELMET have reportedly set “Size Matters” as the title of their new album, tentatively due on September 14 through Interscope Records. The CD was recorded by Ryan Boesch, Chris Holmes, and former NINE INCH NAILS keyboardist Charlie Clouser at Cello studios (formerly Western Recorders) in Hollywood as well as Charlie’s personal studio, and was produced by HELMET mainman Page Hamilton and Charlie Clouser. Joining Hamilton in the band’s current incarnation are drummer John Tempesta (ROB ZOMBIE, WHITE ZOMBIE, EXODUS, TESTAMENT) and bassist Frank Bello (ANTHRAX). No further information is currently available.

one thing i noticed about Deftones live covers is that they all suck! I enjoyed ‘Say it ain’t so’ when i saw em but when i heard that and the other weezer covers they did, they basically just sounded exactly the same as weezer, it wern’t better or worse, just like the sinatra cover…You would think the deftones had to the ability to make it sound there own, if you know what i mean

The Deftones’ cover of “Say It Ain’t So” is awful imo. It might be the versions I’ve heard, but they play it slower than the original, with none of the guitar fills and Chino’s less-than-perfect live vocals.

The Deftones’ cover of “Please Let Me Get What I Want” by the Smiths is fantastic tho.

It says on the inlay for the single ‘additional vocals by Zien’ if that means anything to you?

Did anyone buy the new Unsung comp?? cos on the official site u can download a brand new track, but u can only access it with the cd…

That kinda blows, I know stuff like that is to combat piracy, but at the end of the day it’s a greatest hits album and ive already brought all the albums, so i refuse to buy this album. So while long term Helmet fans like me are left waiting till september, some punk 14 year old who brought the album cos Korn liked them is listening to to new stuff 1st, I blame the goverment!
