I like the new song. I’m even considering bying the album

I saw the video a few days ago and was really shocked to see scott. He looks awfull, sooooo skinny.

I know for sure that I’ll buy the VR album although like most of these major releases it’s probably going to be packaged without any love (and then they wonder why the sales are going down). Also, I don’t think that I’m going to like the music. Scott Weiland may be annoying but he has got a great voice, and GN’R, well what do I need to say about them. Still, it’s a mixture that just won’t go together, like Audioslave. “Slither” just sounds old, like a rip off of Alice In Chains’ “Dirt”. I know they can do better, what’s going on?

The video looks horribly cheap, too.

Maybe the upcoming joint venture of the Stone Temple Pilots and Chris Robinson (Ex-Black Crowes) will be interesting.

It’s unreal - he actually looks like a totally different person. It’s not just the hair, but his face seems to morphed into somebody else. If you put an old and new picture of Duff side-by-side, you would not know it was same person.

At least Matt Sorum has finally killed that poodle that was residing on his head.

My copy arrived yesterday from http://www.cd-wow.com (8.99 inc delivery!!). Man it fucking rocks big time, it won’t be leaving my Cd player for some time I reckon.

PS Slither is not the strongest song on the album :)

Aye, I’ve listened to it a few times and it is a very competent album.

Some good songs, but nothing ‘really’ brilliant. Some nice Slash guitar and everything is very solid and good, but it does seem a little bit aged and predictable.

Definatly one for GnR fans. Some nice power ballads as well :D

Have to say that I’m not really enjoying this one! Big Machine is shite! One of the worst tracks I’ve heard - ever :mad:

The album has some good bits but overall it lacks any spark. There is nothing original on here. In fact it could have been made by any number of 2nd tier rock bands!

Living off past reputation me thinks! Not quite what I was expecting given some of the hype :(

Nothing special. It’s a B-side off the “Slither” single.

Well, i’m listening to my friends copy of it now, and there are a couple of really good tracks (I love “Superhuman”), but there is a lot of shit there also… not one i’m going to buy.

Can’t help but noticing a reference to Guns ‘n Roses in the band name: Revolver -> Gun; Velvet -> Rose. Or am I talking crap here? Both band names have a clear ‘paradox’ in it, if you know what I mean.

What about Orange 9mm?
