H-Blockx - Leave Me Alone

#

Started by Mr Sky High

Anyone heard this song?? I think that it has a little bit Therapy? flavour (at least in the guitar riff). And I like it.

Opinions??

Yep, the first album was cool, but then they kept repeating themselves and became boring. But the new single is good, straight rocking.

Oh, come on. I used to like them when I was like 12 years old and didn’t understand their crappy lyrics.

I mean: “It’s a lover-poffer ping pong, bigger than King Kong”… what the hell?

And the lyrics in the new song aren’t much better: “Here I stand… I’m a dick head” And then in the video you see the guy sitting with a name tag on his shirt that reads: “Dick Head”. That’s so typical for non-native speakers who think they’re cool when they use American slang. Ridiculous.

The tune is catchy, though. At least it’s better than their other recents efforts (Their godawful cover of “Ring of Fire” or “The Power” - that’s right, a song that includes a SNAP! sample).

They broadcast their Rock am Ring performance on WDR last night. It was really annoying to hear the singer address to the audience as the best in the world after each song.

I’m a dickhead, quit the therapy, any other peace treaty
too late”

Didn’t you get the total ghetto-style slang they were doing at “Risin’ High”? (though I still wonder where Muenster does have a ghetto?) The correct lyrics were “…bigger than King Kong’S” (!) Notice the naughty little joke? Huh? Huh? Funny, eh? Hahahahahahaahhhhh… Oh, so what.

But what do you mean complaining about Henning saying he’s a dickhead? It’s true, it’s true. He just missed the words “boring” and “fat”. :D

You’ve never been there, I suppose. You must watch the homies cruising down the streets with their bikes on a Saturday night (I’m not quite sure about drive-by shootings in Münster, though).

Muenster is sort of my second home. I even know all two of the punk guys standing at the railway station from time to time. And about the criminals… Well, they all sit in the town hall there… :D

Never noticed them on my way from the station to the Gleis 22. They must’ve gone there before me. :)

I’ll also wear a T? shirt the next time I’m in Amsterdam. Come on pilgrim.

And accusing innocent women for spreading trash over Münster’s streets.

Gleis 22? You have to run against that one wall, and if you’re lucky enough you’ll land on Gleis 22. :D

@ allroy
Haven’t seen them anymore, since the underpass was closed. Meybe they’re walled in there. :D

and arriving in essen at 21 is no problem…but finding that damn thing, when you have to go back and being in a hurry and then always walking along this damn long way…it’s like walking through a labyrinth…

It’s a two minute walk from the station (to the left, when you take the main entrance).

it’s too expensive, too boring, too flat-landed …ooops sounds like i’m talking about rostock…ahh no, münster got only a stupid little river, we got the big wide baltic sea…ha…

Is it really bigger than the Aasee? Can’t imagine that. :p

And you forgot to mention one really big advantage Münster has over Rostock:
less Ossis!

Quote (author unknown):

from Turbonegro - I Got Erection (St. Pauli version)

‘Hey Hank’
‘Yeah, Happy Tom?’
‘What do you think about Hansa Rostock?’
‘They’re pussies, heavy metal pussies’

Oops, sorry, no offence to any people going to see Metallica in a couple of days.

That’s exactly what I meant, when I was talking about ‘running against a wall’.
