I missed it!
I just HAD to sleep…
I live in Amsterdam so I had to listen to it via the internet, the reception wasa pretty good, but my MD ran out of recording before T? came on the show…
By any chance did anyone record this. If so, is there anyone willing to make an mp3 out of it and email it to me or upload somewhere?
Thank you very much.
Cheers.
U.

Andy and Martin were on roughly between 1am and 1:40am. I listened to most of the show in my car, so obviously I couldn’t record it…
Andy was in the toilet at the start, so Martin had to do it all himself — Andy had eaten some rogue sardines or something. Anyhow, they played Fat Camp — woah — quite noisy. Some lyric about needing a hip replacement… When they played it live it seemed more melodic.
They talked about a few bits and pieces — interesting how Mary Anne Hobbs (the DJ) asked Martin what it was like to have been doing it for ten years, which is odd cos he hasn’t been a full time member of the band that long. But having said that, he’s been in the music biz a long time anyway.
Andy said that they were going to Seattle on 6 December to start recording with Jack Endino. He did Nirvana’s Bleach, and the Zen Guerillas’ album (of which they played a track). They also played a Mr Bungle track (Travolta) and a couple of others.
Andy talked about his child a little bit, and how it was changing him. He also mentioned how he took the little chap to Lost Weekend, where he watched all of Orange Goblin’s set but fell asleep two songs into T?’s set.
They were also talking about support acts — if your band can support one of the gigs and you are _local_ to that gig (I don’t know if this only goes for England), mail Mary.Anne.Hobbs@bbc.co.uk. In theory.
The support for the three Camden Underworld gigs should be different for each one. They hope to get Orange Goblin for one of them.
All in all, I’m not sure it was the best interview, and not that much new information came out. They only used two or three questions from the internet, none of which were particularly good or probing.
And that’s about it.

Oh, and they finished off the show by playing Megadeth’s new song
Kill The King. Which was nice.

I didn’t know they’re such nice guys!
I thought fat camp was stunning, it’s so original. I thought andy sung ‘i need a head transplant’, rather than a hip replacement, does anybody know?
Wow, supporting therapy? would be great.
I thought the interview was really good, but you’re right about the lack of e.mails.

I’d just like to say that Martin McCarrick can blether some crap during an interview. Some of the records picked were awful too, esp. the one Martin went on about at length.
No offence Martin! Wasn’t really work staying up to record to be honest.
