Favourite Album song opener and closer

#

Started by Speedball

Ok, fairly straight forward question, Whats your favourite therapy? albums opening and closing song?

My opener is probably knives, and closer is rust, if you dont inlcude hidden tracks and stuff. Feel free to mention other bands if you want.

On your feet or on your knees on the motorhead Bastards album is quality as an album opener.

Conclusion: THERAPY?-albums are best from the second song onwards.

Gimme Back My Brain is my fave opener. Just the way it comes in quietly and then with a Cairnsian “YEAAAHH!!” it kicks in like a bastard. :D

Pity about the rest of Shameless though…

Gimme Back My Brain _should_ do that, but when it kicks in, it doesn’t _really_ kick in, for some reason. Just my opinion, as always.

I’d go for Knives as an opener (though I have a soft spot for Church Of Noise), and for closing, either Rust or 30 Seconds.

My mistake, I got to carried away. In that case it would have to be Nausea

A tough one. Got to be between Knives, He’s Not That Kind Of Girl, and Gimme Back My Brain.

I think ultimately, for me, I’d have to go for …Girl because of the smile I had plastered over my face every time I heard the beginning of SPYF.

Have to agree. Even though Screamager is a better song, Nausea is just a perfect opening song with it’s sort of menacing builing opening groove . All of my T? mix cds I’ve made always start off with Nausea.

Apart from Screamager isn’t an album opener…
