Tour

In Kerrang this week it talks about a tour around the release of N.A.N.E. Does anyone have any clues of what date this will start or even any of the venues etc? Only I have got tickets to see the Hives on 25th September and Pitchshifter of 8th October and i don’t want T? to be playing near me on those dates, cos i really need to see T? soon, its been almost 4 months, I’m having withdrawls:(

Paoa Roach play the Astoria on 30th, so that would be a good day not to have a London gig… Kerrang also mentions a two week tour later on in the autumn.

Two weeks in the UK or two weeks throughout Europe?
Bands mostly do just a handful of shows when promoting the new record, e.g. with the release of HA T? only played two German shows. So it could be two weeks for the whole interview stuff plus promo shows and then a full-blown European tour in winter.

T? seem to do a couple of UK shows when an album is released, then go into europe. Then later in the year its an actual tour

The general gist of the Kerrang piece seemed in line with what WP is saying.

I hope T? play in Southampton this year round rather than Pompey!

Got my ticket for Machine Head today as they are playing at Southampton Guildhall. Anyone no what their last 2 albums are like as the last one I bought was The Burning Red which I thought was class as were the 1st two albums.

The latest Machine Head album Through The Ashes Of Empires is brilliant,i only bought Supercharger recently and haven’t really had the time to listen to it yet but it has a dodgy reputation.

Is there much about T? in this weeks Kerrap apart from the tour news?

Not sure where T? could play in Soton really, apart from the uni l;ike when they supported the Wildhearts. Although Saints FC are applying to hold a couple of gigs at St Marys (a 32000 seater stadium), so maybe they can play there :D

A short review and photo of the Alive gig, basically saying they were a great band, but that it wasn’t really the right audience for them. Which kind of sounds like the journo was a fan but the crowd weren’t that ecstatic.

which date Kerrang are they in? I live in Spain and Kerrang usually comes out a week or two later here and it’s cling wrapped so I can’t leaf through it to see if T? are in it.

I’m not sure - I only looked at it in Smiths, I didn’t buy it, but it was the one in the UK shops on Monday (2nd August) - I’ll check tomorrow if I get a chance.

Looking at the other bands that played there last Saturday, that’s not really a big surprise

I had a look yesterday (6th Aug) and the one in the shops was dated 7th Aug, so I assume the one with the T? Alive review and news item in it is dated 31st July.

The new one does mention that the Kerrang staff have been playing NANE a lot all week at the bottom of the contents page .

Yes mate Machine Head are indeed playing the Guildhall the end of November, 23rd I think which is a Tuesday night.

I’ve seen Therapy? 3 times in Southampton, once in 1994 on the Troublegum tour at the Guildhall and then the following year on the Infernal Love tour also at the Guildhall. Saw them at Soton Uni as well back in 2000 on the Suicide Pact tour and all 3 times they kicked fucking ass but I didn’t really need to tell you that! So all said and done they could easily play the Uni again and I hope they do. Like you said though maybe they could play St Mary’s what a treat for me that would be my favourite band playing at my favourite football stadium

By the way gb199 where you from? Im in Romsey just outside Southampton.

Have you heard the new songs of the new album? Imperium is quite possibly the heaviest song by that band EVER! and it has that cool blast beat on the drums with a stunning swedish death metal style guitar solo…an, awesome record :-) everyone should own through the ashes of empires

Im actually closer to the blue side of Hants:eek: living just outside Fareham. Pretty cool gig wise, as it means i can get to both pompey or saints (unfortunately pompey tends to have the better ones)

The uni has got to be my fav venue in either city, although T? are prob more likely to play the Wedgewood Rooms next time they come down

Just _outside_ of Fareham?? Are we talking about, maybe, a field or something? ;) Okay, Fareham may not be quite in the middle of nowhere, but it’s within walking distance.

I think its an animal sanctuary rather than just an owl one. Didn’t think it was so famous that word of it spread all the way to Soton though!!!

And for all of you thinking of visiting, especially those of you living in Fareham, I wouldnt bother. It’s like night of the living dead with all the old people pottering about.

I’ve discovered that the word ‘Stubbington’ means ‘place of the (tree) stumps’. If that’s not evocative enough, I don’t know what is. :D
