Therapy? V.S The Wildhearts

#

Started by Dusty (Chris Davies)

I know it’s bit of a stupid Question being this is a T? message board but I want to see if the wildhearts get close. Personally I pick the wildhearts being their my favourite band . So what’s your choice ?

(Before changing the message boards’ software in August 2007 this discussion contained a poll, which may return in the future)

I’ve never really rated The Wildhearts to be honest, nice enough blokes but not my thing.

Watching Therapy? support the Wildhearts is like watching Metallica support a Croatian Status Quo covers band.

The boys in black it is.

Hmm, sounds like a fair deal for Metallica, so it’s your vote for the Wildhearts then? :p

It’s close ‘cos i love both bands, but i’d say Therapy? have more of an edge, mainly as they are more influenced by punk rock whereas the Wildhearts seem more influenced by classic rock’n’roll which doesn’t always agree with me.I do think Ginger is a better songwriter/lyricist though *cue flames*

ahh, dammit, this isn’t easy. Therapy? get my vote but it’s close. Ginger doesn’t really put his mind to writing songs lately. “The Wildhearts Must Be…” was a big dissapointment. The latest T? albums didn’t blow me away, either.

Comparing the 2 bands in 1996 would be way more interesting.

P.H.U.Q. vs. Troublegum
Fishing For Luckies vs. Infernal Love

…hm, Therapy? still win, but Ginger is one hell of a songwriter.

Well, me!

I fell into Therapy? after they supported the Wildhearts - I’m a fairly hardcore Wildhearts fan, but I’m new and casual when it comes to T?.

I’m here because I like what I’ve heard, the WoMBles (term used correctly?) seem like cool people (and damn fine litter pickers) and because I’m an over opinionated son of a bitch who finds message boards a good place to look cleverer than I actually am.

So, Wildyhearies for me.

Title: Therapy? v.s Wildhearts Live

If I was going to compare them live it’s allot tougher . I’ve seen the wildhearts 3 times and therapy? once . The wildhearts have been amazing every time . T? were exellent to but they weren’t on for that long. Right now wildhearts beat them but if I saw T? live another 2 times it would be diffirent .

Having only heard PHUQ and the stuff the played on the tour, I’d definitely go for T? over the Wildhearts, but that’s not to take anything away from how good the Wildhearts are.

Really like the Wildhearts but Therapy? just have that bit more.

Wildhearts have some kicking riffs and almost have the stage presence of Therapy?, they really know how to make the crowd feel welcome.

Just Therapy? are far better at it and mix there style up going from really dark to happy. They can fit any mood.

Every time I here Meat Abstract. It’s just fffuucccckkkk yyyyeahhh!!!! You just can’t help going nuts to this track. And played live nothing comes close!!!!!!!!
