Kinda. I was really into Souljacker at the time and saw them live, which was superb. But i kinda got sidetracked for the next decade! :D So yeah, playing catch up. You a fan?

I am. Not too keen on Blinking Lights, but other than that I’ve liked all their stuff. Daisies is their masterpiece, so if you haven’t heard that yet then you have something great to look forward to :-)

Well, that’s great too. Has some similarities to Daisies and Electro-Shock Blues as well, whilst still having a sound of its own.

Well yeah, his first solo album had some good tracks on it and i could still see how he was the main writer for SG but was lighter in feel. The first Audioslave i enjoyed but got bored of and then they just got worse with every album and then he did a really dull solo album and one that should never have been made let alone released. Maybe he has just realised that he’s made a balls of it… maybe the booze and drugs for him actually did work?
Yeah, I’d agree with that. His first solo album and Audioslave album are pretty good. Both solo albums and Audioslave albums after that are piss poor, actually, they’re impossible to listen to till the end.
I’ve heard about the rarities boxset for years now, I have my doubts it’ll happen. But I guess this could be the year for it to happen. They had some great rare tracks - Karaoke, Cold Bitch, Blind Dogs etc. Also, I remember a fuckin marvellous live version of Beyond the Wheel was a b-side as well. I’d like to hear some of their 85/86 material actually, there’s some poor quality video footage on youtube of old songs that haven’t been released:

The Unwinding Hours is really interesting. İt reminds me the great times of JEW’s Clarity. And they seems happy to end of Aereogramme. Good start.

She’s a politician, Bleed Together, Birth Ritual - they left off tracks that were better than some album ones!

Seriously good stuff. Only heard of them a week or so ago, but this is one of THE album of 2009. That’s right, THE all in capitals.
