ok after hearing nane for the last couple days here’s what i think:
1. it is one of the few t? albums that i can hear non-stop without skipping any track. i don’t think there is any weak songs in it, the ones i like least are rock you monkeys and perish the thought but even these would be favorites in other albums.
2. no offence to martin but t? should never have been a 4-piece band. andy can play his riffs now, we finally get to hear michael and there is no need for someone doing useless sounds so that the second guitar can be justified.
3. neil’s drumming is great and really suits the songs, unlike in high anxiety. it is like he has brought a freshness to the band and there seems to be the right chemistry between the guys.
4. nane has elements of almost all t? albums but as usual it is sth totally new. it is probably the most intense and urgent thing they have recorded since babyteeth and certainly the heaviest.
5. production is ace. maybe the sound is too heavy and will scare some people but it adds to the cohesion of the album.
6. andy’s singing is the best for years (follows the old t? vocal melodies), but i think you can tell on some songs that the album was made on a hurry -especially on long distance-.
7. like i said no weak tracks, but my fave three off the album right now are rise up die like a motherfucker and this is ship is sinking. i am sure this will change every day.
8. all in all it’s really great stuff, much better than i expected, much different than i expected. if this world was fair, nane should be declared the rock album of the year. i am getting pissed off at the thought that it is not going to get the airplay and recognition it deserves, i for myself will try to make as many people as possible to hear it. to the guys that still haven’t heard it i only say that you wont be dissapointed (unless ofcourse you have bad taste :P ), this is pure t?.
well done t? and thanks for putting out such an album.
p.s. i hope t? will come to greece for a concert because i ‘d really like to hear these songs played live…

I think T? is fine as a 4-piece. Of course I play guitar so the more guitar the better. But I definitely agree, as a 3-piece on this album you can really hear and appreciate Michael and Neil’s work.
After listen to the CD cranked up in my car and at home, I have one issue with the production. I think it could have used a little better defined lower-end (insert J.Lo joke here). That was one thing I really liked on H.A.

What can I say but I fucking love the album now after 10 - 15 listens. I really wasn’t that taken aback with the 1st listen, but can now say I love all tracks except for This Ship Is Sinking which doesn’t do anything for me at all.
Well done Lads 12 great songs out of 13!!!

Title: I finally got NANE (merged)
Well the new album finally came in the mail and I am very happy with the result. And yet another great album from the T? boys, they have yet to dissapoint me. Thanks Therapy? for giving us 13 more enjoyable tracks. I know others have said this as well, but I really wish T? was more popular here in the USA. I sure hope I can get to see them if they come over.

So its maybe a part of your work making them more popular in USA. Maybe you should start with telling all your friends, parents and whoever about T?. And maybe annoy any radiostation with telephonecalls or anything unless they playing some T? on air. Be creativ. Be hard and never forget to mention T? in any sentence you say :D
Dont know. But u ll make your way. Good luck!! :D
In the name of T?, touch the screen, errr hail to the king errr… whatever :D

Im pretty sure I own every T? record ever released (including a dodgy live in Luxembourg cd!), and after the first few listens im thinking NANE is fucking great. Although im suprised to read feedback that ‘Dead’ is great, cos I think its the worst track T? have ever done!! But im fucking gutted to say that I now work in Gibraltar which means im gonna be missing my first T? UK tour in years and years. I cant even get the time off to fly home! Motherfuckers…

Had this for Christmas, and have been listening to it almost every day since then. This ABSOLUTELY FUCKING ROCKS with NO FUCKING LET UP. DIE MOTHERFUCKER DIE! Amazing. The lack of light and shade is a slight drawback (something like Six Mile Water would have made a fantastic centrepiece to this album) but one can hardly complain.
I recommend it for loosening the earwax of anyone who suffers from that particular problem.
Happy times and places,

There, I said it.
I’m not a fairweather fan, but ultimately it’s just not that good. The songs sound rushed, the production is OK, but the real let-down to me is the lyrics. A couple of nice couplets, but overall too cheesy :( Not for me. It’s all very well that they want to try to do something new while going back to their roots, but fuck it man, I can’t get into it.
Rant over.

Guilty as charged :P I’ve figured out how to play “Die Like A Motherfucker”, but the rest doesn’t make me want to stick my headphones on, tune my guitar down to C and annoy the fuck out of my neighbours by trying to nail a guitar-melody by endless repeats of the same 3 seconds. I’m glad you enjoyed them though - I actually got some “fan” e-mails by people.
It’s just getting to me that I can’t get into it - it just feels wrong :( I’m supposed to dig everything they release, and bar a few tracks here and there, I do. When I saw the boys live before Christmas I just didn’t feel like moshing when the NANE songs came on :( Gutted, I am.

mixed feelings for NANE here.
it is a very intense one, but also maybe too one-sided. the weird bass and drums are sometimes great, and also the guitar, but something is missing, not necessarily catchy tunes. don´t know… maybe the task was to write something especially for a threepiece again, while still having in mind the four-man group!? don´t know how the new songs work live, though.
favourite songs are Rise Up, Polar Bear, Long Distance.

I like it, it’s a good album but then I think all their albums are at least ‘good’. Certainly not the best album and certainly not by a mile; that goes to the masterpiece that is Infernal Love. As a T? fan from 89/90 I have loved virtually everything they do but IL rises above everything else imho.

NANE is still growing for me and it’s definitely best T? album after Troublegum. And I heard there are just “good” songs.
The opener Rise Up is much better than just good. And the list goes on. Die Like A Mother Fucker, Perish The Thought, Here Be Monsters, So-Called Life, Panic, Polar Bear, Rock You Monkeys, Dead (my fave) , Long Distance, The Ship Is Sinking, Save The Sermon (love the guitar solo ! ) , Last One To Heaven’s A Loser.
The whole record rocks! Rock You Monkeys or Die Like A Mother Fucker !
